42 catches 6 TD’s this year he’s never going to be the outside burner wasn’t drafted for that never was . He’s the outlet that can stretch the chains has become more and more reliable and has a knack for finding the end zone for his QB . Every club needs this type of receiver , the Randall Cobb / Cole Beasley type .

He’s only in yr 3 when his rookie yr went by with Dak hardly finding him .

Look forward for more development next yr the last yr of his rookie contract . Very nice TD grab back of the end zone feet in bounds tonight .

Nope. Tolbert doesn't have the quickness or shiftiness which Cobb and Beasley used to have.

Quick and shifty enough to find the end zone 6 times with 2 games left . With all the troubles the Cowboys have in the red zone Tolbert reliably gets open across the goal and makes tough catches . Won the Pittsburgh game with 4 seconds left .

Both those receivers were much better than Tolbert, release and move on.

Just like so many other players, Tolbert has been mismanaged by McCarthy.

Just imagine the kind of year he would be having in KC for example under Andy Reid.
.....but he seems to getting better results with Rush. Honest question, can some of this improvement be attributed to a QB that can go through a progression. Is that on Mike or Dak?

Why would he be having more success in KC? They average fewer passing yards per game than the Cowboys, and 2 of their top 3 receiving leaders this year have been TEs. I'm not sure they have some secret sauce for getting the most out of WRs.

I doubt it Dak has issues going through progression after 8 years but IMO it's the same with many QBs and that is trusting their young 3rd-4th guys. I Remember Troy Aikman used to say all time he needed to do a better job of giving Kevin Williams more opportunities. I do agree Tolbert's lack of opportunities falls more on Dak and Mike though.

Sean McVay a Kyle Shanahan even Kingsbury in Wash would find Tolbert steady work in there offenses if he wasn’t in Dallas . I honestly think Brooks Flournoy and Tolbert look better under Rush .

One thing Prescott can learn looking at Rush is get rid of the ball . Stop getting trapped behind the line . Whoever runs Dallas offense next year I hope they spread the ball around in the passing game and it’s a quick release offense.

Another ticker for Cooper's Agent at the table......"Prescott can learn looking at Rush." Worth a try to Jerry and other teams. On behalf of Cooper's agent......Thanks.

Correct. Especially now that Dak has lost athleticism, he should'nt be forcing the ball to CD and hanging on until he gets sack. Bang, bang, the ball is out should be the approach. Get other pass-catchers involved.

He’s just another TWill. Twill wasn’t great at anything but he had a knack
For making the big catches . They’re not scared of the big moments. Twill was a notorious body catcher but can’t recall too any player when he had a huge drop. He was reliable.

I was gonna come in and say Crayton, but this is a better comparison. Though Tolbert doesn't have Twill's speed.
