Ashton Jeanty was a JAG against Penn State

3.5 yards per carry. Did he just benefit from playing poor competition?
No. Penn State has a very good defense with several guys who will be in the NFL in the next few years. Jeanty still had over 100 yards with a defense absolutely sold out to stop the run.

Barry Sanders, Emmitt Smith, or Adrian Peterson wouldn’t have fared much better last night.

Penn St has several players on their D who'll be drafted. BS's offense had one. I'm no fan of drafting a RB in the 1st, but calling Jeanty a jag is stupid.

i dont want to draft Jeanty but he was getting hit behind the LOS a lot, nobody can succeed like that.

Thank you.

Football is the ultimate team sport. No running back can run efficiently their offensive line is outmatched physically and talent-wise.

When Jeanty levels up as a pro with NFL-caliber talent surrounding him, his talent will shine through.

Exactly !! Can you imagine the 49ers drafting Jeanty ? Next year that "JAG" would run for 1800 yds.

No and No (in  bold ^^^).

Can go DL 2nd - 4th rounds. Can go OL in the 5th (Cowboys currently have four 5th round picks).

Cowboys need a very good WR2 to help CeeDee and this offense. We all saw what happened to our offense when CeeDee didn't play this past week.
DL is the teams biggest need and there are several top ones in the first. You can whine and cry about WR all you want but we can get a good one in FA. don;t waste a draft choice on first RD wrs that ain;t

You know squat. There are many good Dlinemen available throughout the first 3 rounds. There are only a handful of good WRs, and even less true playmakers.

Jeanty is the type of player that Joneses will draft because he is deodorant. He has big play ability and is a good kid. Jeanty will do some exciting things. Jerry can brag about drafting a pro bowler. The Cowboys need to be honest with themselves. This thing is at least a two year rebuild starting this offseason.

True, but our WRs were also struggling to get open.
I rewatched the game on Monday. The Cowboys had guys open on almost every throw. Rush either didn't see them or couldn't get the ball to them. He is simply a limited QB and won't ever be more than a backup.

In really think he is going to the 49ers to replace injured McC

Jeanty is only 5'9" at best. He also runs a 4.42 40. Good speed but not blazing fast. He can dominate against lesser talented defenses, but we all saw him get stopped by a far bigger and more talented defense yesterday.
He wasn't exactly stopped.

They would draft him because they need him and he would be bpa when they pick.
