Ashton Jeanty was a JAG against Penn State

I think he was either the first or second player to rush for over 100 yards against the PSU defense this season.

Oh whatever dude. It took him 30 carries to break 100. That's 3.5 YPC. He wasn't even the best rb on the field last night.

You guys are talking about height for a RB lol. Jeanty is 5'9 so his height isn't an issue, you don't need a 6'0 + RB, dude weighs 215 that's solid. Guy talk about OL all year involving the Cowboys, but when Jeanty gets no blocking vs a good DL he's a JAG? I smell a bias agenda, but whatever. Jeanty is fine and still the top RB, however, nothing has changed for the Cowboys who need to draft trenches first, maybe some of these DL to stop a RB like Jeanty next season.

Texas Longhorns' DT Alford Collins has made several big key stops right now during the playoffs game between the Longhorns and Arizona State. Collins can be had either late in the 2nd or even mid 3rd round. There are other DTs like him who will be available during those rounds as well. No need to panic and overdraft a DT in the 1st round.

I rewatched the game on Monday. The Cowboys had guys open on almost every throw. Rush either didn't see them or couldn't get the ball to them. He is simply a limited QB and won't ever be more than a backup.

The argument I’ll make for jeanty is that dak has his best years when we had a decent running game going (zeke). Granted I know the oline was better…. But ours isn’t terrible it’s still developing. It’s the same argument for why we shoulda gotten Henry this year…. Solid running game makes dak much better.

Dak should’ve won the MVP last year with a RB that barely broke 1000 yards…

Yes, a great running game helps all QBs but that’s an odd statement about ours seeing as we have evidence otherwise literally last season.

DL is the teams biggest need and there are several top ones in the first. You can whine and cry about WR all you want but we can get a good one in FA. don;t waste a draft choice on first RD wrs that ain;t

Ok. How about the Cowboys trade down into the late teens, pick up a 4th round pick and use that traded down 1st round pick on this monster DT???

Certainly not his best game but it would be a mistake to discredit Jeanty after this one. He still racked up double digit broken tackles and broke 3 runs for chunk yards. Jeanty at his worst still wasn’t that bad. His YPC numbers seem to be more due to penn state having better players in the trenches and simply focusing on stopping the run.

I’m not sure Jeanty in round 1 is the best move for the cowboys but I don’t think he was really exposed. He should still be the top RB taken.
