Because the issue isn't just spend money. It's who you spend money on and the talent you accumulate at key position to improve your overall team. The Cowboys will sit there and say they have Parsons and Diggs. Like that means something. For every Parsons you need guys who can anchor the defensive line and keep the Linebackers from getting absolutely smashed by the offensive line and having the ball run down their throats over and over again. But the Cowboys won't, the run defense has been broken for over a decade and they either refuse to address it or they try to patch it up with another traffic cone like Mazi Smith.

Their jobs don’t depend on building a winner. No one is in jeopardy of being fired. Why would they EVER have the feeling of urgency?

They’ve had the highest grossing sports franchise for the last 20+ years…there’s no motivation to change ANYTHING!

If we don't get rid of Micah while he has value he's going to get paid get hurt and will be stuck with him instead of being able to get draft picks this team is beyond free agency.

Yes they do. We have an aging oft injured QB, a patchwork o line, no running back or tight ends, and nothing in the middle of the D. We’re cooked.

We had 3 12 win seasons that we could have gone all in and done something special.

Jerry chose to not go all in and get all the holes filled as a result we squandered the opportunity.

We paid DAk and we paid CD and the window was closed while the eagles signed Becton, Barclay and drafted gifted players for their defense and built an absolute powerhouse that we stand no chance of being able to compete with.

The mollycoddled Chiefs that were brought along by the league and the refs shouldn't have even been in the same stadium with them.
Their trenches on both sides of the ball were built so bulletproof the Chiefs didn't stand a chance and neither do we.
Next Jerry will lock the window by making Micah the highest paid defensive player in the league and that will be his excuse that we have the highest paid players in the league but can't afford anybody else.

We have started with a new coach now get rid of everything of value that we can get draft picks for and start over because there is absolutely no chance of competing with what we have there aren't enough draft picks or free agents available.

We are screwed as fans as long as Jerry keeps pretending he is a NFL caliber GM.
I have absolutely no confidence in his ability to retool, rebuild or in anyway assemble a roster that can compete for a SB.
We can't even make a NFCCG.

Best way to win a chip with a limited QB is improve and build on the big boys in the trenches, then give said Oline a Elite runner to take advantage of this. This is exactly what Philly did. They took it a step further and built an elite defense too. Especially in the trenches. Hurts is good, but limited. Dak is good, but limited now. No reason we can't win and win alot more with him. If we go about this the right way. Fortifying both lines and the RB position this off-season can change EVERYTHING quick and put us in the conversation. But this will require actually participating in free agency and drafting well.

I agree Dak and hurts are both limited but Hurts is less limited than DAk he's athletic he can run and just proved himself that the biggest stage is not too big for him Dak has yet to prove that he can perform in the early rounds of the playoffs

The proof of the pudding is in the eating and Hurts as much as I absolutely hate to admit it and hate the eagles the guy proved himself on the biggest stage.

We aren’t behind Washington yet. We beat them with Rush and would have won again had they started Rush in the 2nd game. We are miles sways from Philly however

They can go a lot of ways in the draft, but if they are not focusing on the DL and OL with high draft picks, then the inevitable and painful decline will continue.

You are assuming that the player who replaces this guy is somehow going to lay out for the franchise. There is no accountability and the coaches are little more than baby sitters in this franchise. So what makes you think it's going to somehow manifest into players trying harder? There is no added incentive to getting trucked over by Kittle.

• Decent TEs
• Bound to Dak and there are far better QBs in the league
• No DTs
• Only really have Micah as an edge rusher

• Likely can’t keep all our CBs
• Need to rebuild our safeties
• Elite kicker

I'd like to believe that FA would have helped those 12-5 teams, but there is NO WAY IN HELL that Dak would have won 3 or 4 straight elimination games in any of those seasons....or any season for that matter. The announcement of September 8th set this team back an additional 5-6 years minimum.
