Javonte Williams fully healthy

It wasn't a clean tear, from what I read it usually takes 2 years to return to close to 95-100%... if you can at all.

He may not get back to his 2nd round grade but It should not surprise to see him improve from last year
I had a severed Achilles tendon to my right leg when I was a much younger man. It took me a year to get rid of my limp and two years before I could jog, much less run full blast. I'm in my 80s now.

It takes time and plenty of it, for serious injuries like that to fully heal. Of course, a decade later, such injuries were handled somewhat more successfully.

Maybe, these days, two years would be sufficient to heal enough to return to playing condition. It tends to vary with different individuals.

The C'boys might be well advised to limit Williams' carries enough to avoid additional injuries.

IF Blue and/or Mafah impress Jerry Jones early, one or both will receive significant playing time sooner than later.
Yup, it all depends on how Coach Jones views both of those backs.

This exactly why this organization is the laughing stock of sports media and the rest of NFL fans.

The fact that we as fans now assign how much playing time a player receives because of a meddling owner speaks volumes

Pretty important because the season is going to hinge on the running game and he's the most complete back they have. Sanders is washed up and Blue supposedly is not good in pass protection and has had fumble issues. The rest of the RB are just backups.
While Williams, Lueple, Mafa all probably better than Blue at pass pro, his ability to line up in slot still makes him a value on 3rd downs.

Remember the “Moose” calls back in the early 90’s everytime Daryl Johnston carried the ball or caught a pass? His biggest value however was lead blocking for #22. I can’t wait for the “Luepke” calls when he does the same for Javonte or the Blue rookie.
Does Klayton use FBs in that role? Honest question.

I believe Williams and Blue will be our two main RBs this season.
If Williams does/or comes close to what he did during his rookie year I'll agree with you. If he produces like he did last year he should be benched until further notice.

The first place he can prove himself is the preseason. I would think that a former 35th overall pick in the draft should dominate for a few quarters.

Then again, another positive scenario would be for Williams to dominate in practice to the degree that the coaches don't want to risk him in preseason games.

That last scenario would have to be so obvious that everyone reports this.

In any case, the competition at RB is going to be very interesting this training camp. I hope to see a couple really separate themselves from the rest early
