Just over the bs more and more
Not just with this franchise and its players but the bs of the “game” outside of the game in professional sports - **warning** back in my day rant coming up

Back when I was a young kid playing the sport and starting my fandom players played
Broken legs- missing teeth- scars - blood etc etc
The business side was there but in this case you had to wait for the paper and it was just done one way or another

Before I get flamed - I get it - players safety - health- they made Pennie’s back then for owners making millions

It’s the rest of this bs - I really don’t care if Micah or any player signs for $1 guaranteed or a billion guaranteed - I don’t care that our clown of an owner loves the drama and being in his eye a legendary hall of fame business tycoon

I don’t care that they hug it out or divorce

Just play the blanking game
Win games that matter
Be something more than just a freaking blogger page, sports show leading story to get clicks, hits and attention

That’s where I feel this NFL machine that has partaken in creating these results that allow this garbage to fill our minds and water cooler discussions - it’s not cowboys unique - it’s just the way this machine churns now

Long is forgotten the actual joy and pain of the actual game and stories / situations like this take center stage

So yeah - I’m tired of Micah - Jerry the whole lot of them

Old man rant off :laugh::banghead::popcorn:
you could almost recreate that by staying off social media, including the Zone and just watch the games.

Restrict your sports internet consumption to matchup articles and game previews and then game wrapups from around the league.

But most of us can’t do that

Maybe we’re the ones who have gotten soft.

I really just don't care anymore. We will never be contenders with the Jones' at the helm regardless.

Parsons or some picks it really doesn't matter, we will fail, like we have the past 29 years.
The problem with trading Parsons is Jerry will trade a dollar for 5 dimes.

You don't understand.

I would be fine with paying Micah if we didn't have Dak, Diggs, and CeeDee on historical contracts also.

There isn't a GM in the NFL that could build a team around that, especially when 2 of them (Dak and Diggs) aren't worth anything close to what they're getting.

I want the Cowboys to be successful as a football team. I couldn't care less if Micah is successful financially.
Fair enough. Thanks for explaining lol.

Philly seems to be able to secure all of their top talent.

Amazing what a real GM can do.

Yup.

The problem is, we are paying players top dollar w/ holes in their game. Think about it: Diggs never was great at coverage. Micah isn't the greatest vs the run. Dak is immobile and there are questions about his big game play. And I like Lamb, but just don't think he's worth what he got. I could be wrong on that.
Lamb is worth every penny. That man was playing with one arm in a lost season. He didn’t quit. That’s actually exactly that this team needs.

That's because in baseball very few players don't respect their contracts. In the NFL there is constant whining about redoing their contracts if someone else gets more. It's disgusting.
I would say it's not even very few in MLB don't respect their contracts, it's basically zero.

MLB and the union must have come to an agreement that once the contracts are signed and the season starts, you keep your mouth shut about the money. Probably a calculated decision that fans struggling to make it in their own lives don't want to hear about your complaints over millions and billions.

This kind of behavior is certainly not going to win Micah and friends, but maybe he is pushing the envelope so he does get traded? If he knows there are other teams that will negotiate in good faith and extend him now I expect he would be happy to get traded to one of them.

I still say regardless of this contract stuff, CeeDee is the best player on the team. Top 3 WR at least who does everything -- all around player, tough, comes up big in big moments, takes incredible care of himself to maximize his talent, no holes in his game (unlike Micah's run defense).

I need to talk to him first is a player’s coach answer. He also needs permission from Jerry to talk. How about you grow a pair and tell Micah, the media or anyone else who will listen that you don’t approve of players napping DURING A GAME!

Asthma field was only for second or third string players like Curvin Richards.

The Teammate Murder Field was where Jimmy had his favorites practice
Those were the days when our hc could actually fire a player without requiring Jerry’s permission lol!

Why would anyone want to give a record setting contract for a guy who is acting unprofessional and self serving? Dak was in the exact same situation and went about his business in a professional way.

Dak has always been mature. That's the difference here.

It's time to grow up MP, I don't know if his immaturity can be overlooked at this point.
MP is upset because Jerry holds his rights, and MP is trying his best to force a trade.

Not only do some think (or maybe they don't care) that he's a leader, but they want Jerry to give him the biggest non-QB contract ever.

I've said it for 2 years now, and I'll continue to say it.

There is no player that I've seen that has "will quit when paid" written all over him more than Micah.
It saddens me to say this, but I agree.
MP has become a cancer.

Well, I’ve just heard more analyst , sports writers and other athletes say it more than those against so I’m assuming it must be truer than I’d even thought.

The only ones I’ve heard speak out against him are angry fans over his contract negotiations.
These days you have to be cautious opining a negative opinion on national TV or else…
.
What do you think? Is Parsons a generational player?
