Jerry Jones' master Cowboys plan worked perfectly as final DE domino falls

Yeah I dont buy that. Daks contract has built in void years. They can and will move that money down the road. As far as this year last I saw we were around 30 million under. That is with Micahs 24 already factored in. They can absolutely pay him now. Additional every single contract I've seen has a smaller first year hit.
Of course it is BS.

According to OverTheCap, we are 31.5m under the cap. A Micah extension according to them will actually lower his cap hit by 18.2m. That gives us 49.7m in cap space, which most likely we will roll a good chunk over into next year's cap, which will also go up from this year's number.

By the way, Bland and Smith could be extended and save us another 4.5m against the cap.

With restructures, Dallas can make the following in cap space:
-Dak - $31 million
-Lamb - $19m
-Diggs - $8.8m
-Osa - $12m
-Ferguson - $4.9m
-Steele - $8m
That is $83.7m more in space that is available with a scribble of a pen.

Instead of restructure, we could cut some guys and make space:
-Steele - $8.75m or $14m if post June 1
-Diggs - $12.5m or $15.5m post June 1
-Hooker -$7m
S. Thomas - $2.5m
Anger - $3m
Schoonmaker - $1.6m
Mingo - $1.9m
Cutting the last 5 wouldn't make a difference on the team but would save another $16m. Cutting Steele and Diggs if they don't perform would add another 4.4m over restructuring if done pre June, or 12.7m after June 1.

So they can make $100m in space on top of what they carry over and with a raise in the cap. The Sirius guy is full of shizz.

Who cares? Nobody. Nobody cares about this anymore. I’m not frustrated about contracts or player relationships or anything.

Nothing matters but winning, and Jerry can’t do it. He can bring all the flare and publicity he wants, but he’s only compensating for the fact that he doesn’t know how to win football in the salary cap era. So put him on the news nonstop. Cowboys fans shouldn’t care. He’s not the master of anything because he can’t get his team to an NFC championship. Nothing matters but winning, and the franchise will die a little more each year they don’t win. He’s an awful GM. Great advertiser, great business man, terrible GM.

If his ‘master plan’ doesn’t end in winning, it’s a stupid plan

They can and will, and I absolutely hate it. It forces us to stay tied to him. And if somehow we stumble upon a young QB we won't be able to totally take advantage of his cheap rookie deal because we'll have kicked the Dak can down the road too much.

And what would Jerry do with all that cap space?

He’d surely bring in some top free agents and extend Tyler Smith in the spring, right?

And, in 2027, the cap is projected to hit over $330m, 50m more than it is now.

Cowboys can absolutely afford to sign who they want.

are you kidding me ?

its a cap disaster ... of course , pr and media genius , that is true .

thats why jerry is a genius business man ,. and a horrible GM
Top three producers on a team maxed for Five Years.

A large cap room right at present and the revenue from media will be still increasing for about the next 10 years ... at present?

With that view, you'll have stubbed toes...

Budgeting to succeed is always wrong ... you have to be right on target here.

Why should Micah settle for a cheap fold up medical table to lounge on the sidelines . Can’t Jerry spring for a recliner with a cup holder and a pouch to stuff the Doritos bags # 11 seems to favor . He did not look comfortable on that sideline against Atlanta .

He's not playing ... with cold Mexican beer!

Waiting for Jerry to show up on TV with a MCGA hat. Making Cowboys Great Again. Don't laugh, it would be shown on every news outlet state wide. Marketing is his niche.

Is that masquerading as a PHD in dumb? All teams use a plan and continual analysis that is taken to the field.Smart has the advantage in a game. Not popularity and attitude.

Yeah, but if its any consolation there's still only so much guaranteed money due to him and chunks of it come off the books regardless.

I think its two more seasons before we have an out. I could be off, the cap is so fluid its hard to keep up.

Jerry will find some way to try to convince us he is still broke

Constant noise out of Dallas. None of it related to winning football.

Per Sirius XM, dont expect Jerry to pay Micah this year, Why, it would put the Teams salary cap in an unsurpassable place. The problem is if Jerry pays Micah in 2025, over 50% of the 2026 Salary Cap would be taking up on 4 players, DAK, CD, Micah and they still and the Zack Martins contract. Not enough money to pay the rest of the team in 2026. DAK alone will take up 74mil in 2026. Jerry could simple get Micah in the room and explain this,,,but instead Jerry wants his name and the Cowboys in the headlines.
I heard that yesterday as well. JJ has bungled the QB contract situation so bad. 53% of cap on 4 players and 1 of them is not even on roster. The horrible QB contract will haunt us for years to come.
