If he had a new deal he could risk playing somewhat injured. I wouldn't play with a back injury that could get far worse and cost me hundreds of millions.

He should be LB but they play him 90+% at DE so that is why he gets paid like a DE.

The funny part is he wants to play DE and only rush the passer, but wants to be paid like a LB, without putting in the extras work to be one.

While I'm all for players trying to get as much as they can (we all would in their place), I really wish there were more details released about the sticking points between the sides.

Right now it's easy to pick a side and say the other is the bad guy, but I do find it strange no details have been leaked beyond Jerry throwing out the "highest paid non-QB offer" claim which was of course missing the catch(es) that came with it.
