But if you can, watch some of the NFL Films highlights of the Cowboys' Super Bowl seasons in the 1990s. A lot of those hits and tackles would draw huge fines and suspensions in today's league. Just shows how much the game has changed.

Also, notice the old fumble rules. Watching the Netflix documentary, there were atleast 3 times where Mike fumbled the ball, where today they'd say he never completed the catch.

The "reported" trade package Green Bay would send Dallas is two 1st round picks, a 2nd round pick, and a 5th round pick.

I am assuming that's a 1st and 2nd in 2026 and a 1st and 5th in 2027. Considering the Packers would probably be in the latter part of the round, I am not convinced that's good enough compensation. But still worth discussing as a hypothetical.

I guess they could package those picks to move up in next year's draft. Essentially they would trade Micah for a top 3 pick next year. Only thing is, QB is not on the radar for a few years so who coming out would be worth that kind of deal?

CB is pretty deep for Dallas, just a little banged up at the moment. Come mid season, if Revel is what they think he could be - it'd be the deepest spot on the team talent wise

They could go for the QB and play for the long term rebuild. But Jerry would never do that. He's in his 80s and wants a team that can be relevant right now; while hoping they get lucky one year. That's the big problem.

There are some who are transcendent like Brady, Mahomes, P. Manning etc….then there are guys who a key piece of a strong team like Stafford, Roth, Brees, and then there’s guys like Dak, Hurts, Dilfer, Purdy, who are good but desperately need super talent around them.

Roy Williams brought the wood before the NFL changed the rules. He straight up folded anyone coming across the middle.

Also a couple years ago the hit on Giants QB Daniels towards the sideline. IIRC his teeth got jacked up from the hit.

Cowboys legend Jabril Cox. Daniel Jones got up blowing snot bubbles.

I agree with you on Roy. In his first two seasons, he laid at least 4-5 guys out to where they either could not get up or they were walking sideways.

I think Jeff Heath ended Ricardo Lockette's career with a vicious hit on a punt return.

Who said the Cowboys were open to making a trade? Don't get blinded by bias on these types of stories.

This article simple states that the Packers are interested. It also says the Cowboys have no interest in trading him.

I posted it because a couple of members have tried to post the Packers rumors without any source links and after a few hours I saw this article and figured I would post it.

I post things whether I agree or disagree with them. If it's Cowboys related news and I find it, I share it.

He's already had the best running back in the league earlier in his career, and had a top 5 defense, too. Didn't parlay that into a divisional round win.

I don't think you can win with Dak no matter what you surround him with. You can give him the 1989 49ers, and he'll throw pick sixes in the first half.

Yeah, for me it was Roy. There was one where Newman was defending the pass right on the sideline and the receiver was still focusing on the ball and Roy just destroyed him.

Then another on a kickoff when Baldinger was on the call and going crazy.

Roy was unbelievable.

Yep Newman's hit on I believe Roddy White. Trap coverage and White never saw Newman until he got blasted.

The Packers can't say anything because Micah is under contract with the Cowboys.

But the Cowboys can say Micah is available anytime they want to (I believe).

What has he done for you to say that? He is just an average football player. He is a generational me first brat like most of his generation, I'll give you that.

I think that's part of the fan issue, we see his posts, his podcasts and discredit how impactful he's been as a football player and let that feed our unconscious bias.

Objectively he's not an average football player, he's actually on a hall of fame trajectory if this continues.
