To sit here with a straight face and say that was a good number That former Defensive player of the Years and Miles Garrett and TJ Watt only got around 40 million We just saw Trey Hendrickson take 30 million he had 17.5 sacks last year I realize he's a little older but you act like Parsons is putting up 20 sacks a year in his unstoppable you're making him out to meet Lawrence Taylor and he's not..

I'm not saying I wanted to see him go but some of you need to calm down look at what he got are you telling me it would it going to be OK for the Jerry to cave on $47 million per season the number was 38 million back in March it was 42 million yesterday so how do you end up with $6.5 million more than what the Cowboys were willing to offer which would have still made him one of the top paid defensive ends...

cowboys offered him a fair deal and they **** on it.. That's the truth you want to be angry at Jerry and I understand this is shocking to me especially him going to the Packers But the numbers are more shocking This is not even in the wheelhouse where we were thinking his contract would land.

Before I come to grips with this the more I see that this was the right move for the Cowboys you can't pay this guy $47 million and he hasn't even led the league in sacks he hasn't been Defensive player of the year he is not a top 10 player he's a great player maybe he ends up being that but he is not that right now..

No you shouldn't pay Parsons $47M, you should have signed him last year when you could have gotten him for under $40M.

Parsons, Dak, and Lamb all could have been signed for SIGNIFICANTLY less than what they ended up signing for if Jerry signed them when they were eligible for extensions. Instead he f***ed around and wanted to make some headlines with his star players. That's the truth, enough trying to defend the clown.
 
Lol, where’s all the homers who said there was nothing to worry about and all off season they were telling how us how they guaranteed he would never be traded?
 
So we trade for a DT we have badly needed for the last 10 years, and are down because of a 2024 where his health wasn't great? I think this deal says more about Micah's value and the Pack going all in and overpaying for a guy who was also "hurt" last year, and is a no-show against strong teams. If Micah finally exceeds expectations, it will have lots to do with GB and their willingness to build a D around him, something Jerry couldn't care to do there

Jerry is an overrated big baby. Micah beat him. Got the money and is with a much better organization. In the future Jerry may want to call the player’s agent before talking to the player. About anything. What a moron.

This should have some great moments. Looking forward to Jerry going proactive and blasting the agent for 45 mins, with a few anecdotes about some oil thing from 40 years ago.

Second come to that conclusion without proof because some of these rumors now some of them had actual validity including him going to the Packers that nobody could believe that rumor...

My take is behind the scenes they were demanding $50 million and they weren't gonna come off it... They gave Green Bay a discount the fact that they got $47 million from Green Bay means they were probably asking for 50 from Dallas because they didn't like Jerry Jones anymore they were going to take him to the cleaners or they were going to force a trade.....

Lame trade.

We will likely never see a player like Micah.

He is beyond elite.
 
This is actually a good trade for Dallas.
You had amazing edge depth and were trash inside.
Now you get a 2nd starting caliber DT at a very cheap price for an undersized pass rush demon who may not age all that well.

It frees up a ton of cap space over the next 3 years and strengthens your weakest defensive position.

Dallas going 9-8 with Micah versus 7-10 without him is a step in the right direction.
Dallas paying Micah 47M per year would have been insane.
 
I don't understand all the "Chicken Little" comments. Some of you may need Tums; the Cowboys will be fine without Meecuh. Jerry, has done it again!

Seriously, it didn't happen overnite,,,,but the Dak extension 100% put me OVER THE EDGE and its been real easy...also, the NFL in general has turned its back on me as well....its a joke.
