This offseason feels different; the FO has been active

I just want to highlight the offseason so far, as some moves that seemed small might turn out to be much bigger.

In 2025, they traded for Milton and Pickens, re-signed Turpin, Osa, Furgs, Bland, and Hunter. They went through the draft, and while we’ll see how those picks pan out in a couple of years, they also brought in some key free agents. Starting with Fowler, the signing of James Houston feels underrated and could end up being a bigger impact than expected. They also bolstered their linebacker core by bringing in Murray and Sanborn.

They’ve made a lot of moves this offseason, yet people still complain and seem unhappy, which I don’t understand. Recently, they traded Parsons to gain two extra first-round picks, a starting nose tackle, and cap space to address other needs. For those who know, this was about building the team, not just saving face with Parsons.

They’ve also had talks with Tyler Smith, who’s very important, as well as Aubrey. You can’t say they’re inactive—this has been one of the most active offseasons they’ve had. From bringing in corners to strategically cutting and re-signing players for the practice squad, they’ve put in significant effort to make this team as strong as possible without overspending. Sure, people might criticize them for not splurging in free agency and sticking to bargain deals, but sometimes those smaller moves pay off.

For example, the Eagles last year brought in budget players who ended up being key contributors, while their big signing, Brian Huff, turned out to be a bust despite his $17 million-per-year contract. Sometimes, it’s the smaller moves that make the difference.

With a ton of cap room, new HC, new energy, 2025 is a complete 180 from 2024, hands down. I am here for it!!

Maybe not all-in this year, but it's possible to get an all-in result.

I think they are all-in as far as their philosophy of building a winning team.

Football isn't poker. I think using poker references to analyze football is misguided and an analytical mistake.

Signjng Pickens is huge. I also think bringing in Kenny has a more positive impact on this defense than we would if it was Parsons instead.

Sure, you miss the pass rush on about 30 plays. But hopefully you have other guys to make up for it who will also play their part within the scheme to do things that aren't so glamorous like clogging lanes and stopping the run.

If they had gotten Hall from the Jets, it would have been a great offseason. But again, RB by committee.

I am doubtful that the vet RBs bring much to the table. I am hopeful that the two rookie do.

The question is how long will it take for Shotty to let the young guns see what they can do? Hopefully he has the balls to let them find out.

i'm just saying I think we're improved The people who were voting on the amount of wins it almost 60% was seven or less wins and I just found I needed to speak up and say that that's ridiculous and I believe it'll be better than that more like 9 to 11 wins...

Coaching is a complete and utter unknown at this point. We are led by a guy who couldn't sniff an NFL head job for decades until Jerry came along. And as we know, Jerry ain't the best at hiring HCs.

Explain. Because this is a really bizarre comment given what we've seen for nearly 3 decades. The evidence substantially tilts towards them not knowing how to build a true winning team.

Coaching is a complete and utter unknown at this point. We are led by a guy who couldn't sniff an NFL head job for decades until Jerry came along. And as we know, Jerry ain't the best at hiring HCs.

We hired a first time coach that picked his own staff with no retreads on it, mostly young and energetic says the players.

Top 10 Dak is back, We added booker in place of martin, Finally a legit WR2 in pickens, More dept on Pass rushers, Finally a DT we been asking for, Zeke isn't at running back, LB's are much improved i should say. A lot of things to make you excited if you are a fan of football but keep being you.

I am going to say yes with Clark in the middle and the edge guys that they have. They have added Willams, EZ, Fowler, Houston, and Kneeland didn't play much last year. We will have to see how it works out, but I'm high on the group.
