Odd timing after Dak ran for 14 to set up a field goal and help us win lol.

But if mobile is what you want…they have Milton.

I was thinking the same thing, lol. After watching how this game ended, rather odd that is his first complaint.
The Defense being back to the level it was before Dan Quinn came in and turned it around isn't more concerning? Why they are throwing it to Tolbert with the game on the line - twice - instead of Lamb or Pickens isn't more of a concern? Even the shaky special teams coverage is more concerning to me.

It would be mainly be The 49ers and Packers. Joe to Steve Young, with even Jeff Garcia being serviceable. Packers, Obviously Farve, Rodgers and now Love. I didn't say that happens often, but I prefer that then waiting for the last moment to roll the die.

I agree. With Dak’s age and injury history you never when one bad play could end his career, or significantly impede his play. I’d like to have a good prospect in the waiting.

I can't disagree with that. I think the Cowboys should take a flyer on a late round QB every other year. I don't like trading picks for guys who have failed miserably at other stops like Lance and Milton. Draft one to develop every other year.. If he pans out he is either a solid backup or a good trade piece.

I agree. I like the Milton trade for that exact reason. This offseason I hope we draft a late round guy or pick up another possible prospect and let him and Milton battle it out. Keep the backups competing for a spot on the team while Dak still plays. If something happens to Dak then let whoever wins that battle to play.

One thing that Dallas did/does that I don’t like is get comfortable with the backup QB job. Let’s make the backups competing QBs fight for their roster spot on a consistent basis every year as opposed to having 1 backup feeling comfortable and the 3rd string guys fighting. I like the idea of QB2 being on their toes and working for a job. Sharpens them up IMHO

Team like the ravens could've build a good team around Dak. But Dak has never really been a pocket passer qb like Tom Brady, Manning or Eli, so I don't get the comparison. Part of Dak strengths at one point were his mobility, which he is displaying some now. Real test will be weak 4.

good O line, good receivers, good backs, a qb who can read defenses, audible, lead, evade sacks and throw is what you need

this idea that you cant win without a qb who runs is nonsense

now I am not saying Dallas has all the things Ive listed above

A legit defense helps. Some how Mahomes is elite when his D gives up 17 or less. Now they are 0-2 for giving more than 17, but it can't be his fault because he is mobile.
