We need a younger QB next year

For what? He hasn't been even close to living up to the hype
THey don't know he's just talking lol. They're waiting for th emedia to tell them Arch stinks right now the media hasn't started making content about how bad Arch is. But he for sure looks bad and i'm wondering what type of development has he been doing.

Not exaggerated.. just wishful thinking. Dak may or may not have hit his ceiling in 2023. If that IS his ceiling then I think we're gonna be okay because QBs typically maintain their top level longer than just about every other position on the field. Dude dotted up the Giants today just like he dotted up the Eagles. I have seen nothing that indicates he's on this great decline for which these people are hoping. I think he realistically can play at this level for 5-6 more years. And when he does I am going to be here to laugh at the idiots wishing so hard for him to fail!
We've seen him fail.

Every year...

Talk to me when he does something meaningful in the playoffs against a legit SB contender instead of falling flat on his face.

What's your defintino of high level? I get that last SB run was weak by Peyton but he had some solid performances late 30's.

I just think with Dak I need to see it. You can see it coming when a guys career is on its way out. Typically. And maybe by the end of the season I will feel different but like I said earlier he's starting off this season better off then he has in a long time. Since 2019.
Peyton, Brady, and Rodgers aren't you ordinary qbs tho. They were/are generational.

If anyone thinks Dak is a bad QB, they need to turn on SNF. I like Penix and McCarthy both, but I'm glad neither are leading our team right now.
And that's the thing. I get we have 4 1st rounders....but when I start thinking about drafting a QB...I look at all these guys...and Caleb....one day it will have ot be done but goodness.....

He's 32, realistically probably has 2 good years left unless people think he's gonna play at good level past 35
I would say this is more accurate than the argument that he’s not mobile. It would be wise for us to get a younger QB because of Dak’s age. Hopefully we found a gem in Milton but let’s not depend on that.

Don't care young or old...just someone who can be a consistent running threat. With the way the offense can stall and get predictable, it feels like this entire scheme is WAITING for a mobile QB that defenses have to constantly account for. Even with all of the flaws they have had on offense, this is the one thing that would have made a huge difference in their playoff losses.

That's why I can't hate on Jalen Hurts anymore. The guy is a weapon and such a big part of the Eagles identity with his skillset.

Cowboys should draft for Quarterback more often. I get jealous of teams that have a great quarterback and then one in the waiting.

Dak did ok I guess

But it’s pretty clear to me we need a younger more mobile QB next year

Dak is to slow on even play action passes, he’s just getting old
Ok. Be sure to let Jerry know. I bet he’ll get right on it.

I had Caleb as a bust, tbh. Great talent, don't see a leader of men. Definitely didn't see him as a fit in Chicago. Stroud and Daniels are good. Maye and Nix have some potential. Anyone else worth noting is on their second contract. I do advocate for taking a QB high but not to replace Dak. Give him a couple of years behind Dak to learn the ropes. Lots of good prospects expected to go pro in the next couple of drafts. Seems like the right time to make a move.

I agree. With Dak’s age and injury history you never when one bad play could end his career, or significantly impede his play. I’d like to have a good prospect in the waiting.

He can be more decisive with his running and do it a few more times a game to keep defenses honest. It would probably open things up a little more for the offense.

With that said he ran at the end of the game and looked like he had sufficient speed to still be able to do it some. That was a key play in closing out the game.
