Yep the experts around here keep telling us that a great QB must "elevate his receivers" and "carry his team" so the fact that Mahomes is not "elevating" 80 year old Kelce and a bunch of inconsistent receivers is evidence that he is no longer great. Or maybe it's just further proof that this whole "team game" thing needs to be paid closer attention.

"numbers in proper context"....well firstof all...many "Dak Crusaders" have a hard time doing that, let alone the Dak Detractors. I'm trying to find the postabout "he's got the stats but..." it wasn;t about dak someone else. But...wouldn't that apply to Dak too.

But I truly believe it's Mayfield playing the very best...regardless of stats. Four game winning drives in the final moments this year...with injuries to his starters! Almost did it against the Eagles...but fell a bit short.

Not just watching his team do it but WILLING them. It's incredible...if not ever done before.

I am going to admit something here that is hard for me.. and that is that we have seen many times in every sport where a championship team gets into a funk and everybody writes them off and then they pull themselves together enough to make one more run just to piss of their detractors. I am scared that this might happen with the Eagles. They fall to say 5-5 after 10 games and then never lose again on the way to another Super Bowl.. Man would that suck!!!

Hmmm. I'm no pro athlete (obviously!) And I get "locker room fodder".

But...is that the reason teams bounce back? No change in scheme? Players got healthy? Players finally understand the scheme? They got lucky and things clicked?

Just trying harder...for themselves?

I'm sure there were some teams....but if that's the only reason...well....let's just my coach will demand that attitude every day, every week, every game.

It's not really that complicated. They aren't the same. Dak has played like crap & directly contributed to the playoff losses even when the rest of the team played well enough to win. Even when his team has been riddled with injuries, Mahomes has always played well. Giving his team a chance no other QB would have.

Now mind you, this is always in the conference championship game or Super Bowl cause Patrick always get's his team there.

Based on these first 5 games it'd be hard to put 5 QBs higher than Dak. I do think they are disrespecting Goff a bit though. But he do have an amazing cast around him. It would not bother me to see Goof replace Jones on this list. What Dak has done these last two games without CeeDee and then a half with 3/5 of the o-line out followed by a full game with 4/5 of the o-line out needs to be appreciated. And I think it has made people sit up and take notice.

Mayfield is 4-1 and critical component, with the same challenges. He's ahead of Dak.

Proof that player stats are not as important to a win loss record. They have ALMOST identical QB stats.

YOU...could say "See! The players around him!". Not if you actually watch the games. People make fun of "eye test"....but it's simply a way to go above the stats.

Dak has 3 INTs attributed to him, but everyone who has seen all 3 INTs knows 2 of those INTs were on our WRs who allowed passes to go right through their hands and deflected back into defenders for INTs. So Dak in reality has only 1 INT that is on him which in reality would give him only 1 INT as Mayfield has, yet Dak has passed for more passing yards but the same amount of TDs while with a much lesser team around him. THAT pretty much proves Dak is the better QB who has made much more with much less so far. Kind of destroys the Dak hate around here, doesn't it? Sucks to be a hater proven wrong now doesn't it? Bunch of baloney. 2 of those victories happened not because of he and his team, but because the opposing team's QBs turned over the ball on what would have been game-ending winning drives for those opponents. In other words, Mayfield and the Buccaneers were gifted 2 victories, so let's get it right in proper context.

Dak and this Offense has fought every game for what they have achieved, yet you guys refuse to praise them while praising some other QB and his team who were gifted 2 victories by their opponents. That's what is frustrating to see around here. That is why I say, "Go follow another team." Pretty much giving y'all what y'all want and ask for based on your actions.
