Just had a "discussion" with someone about Mayfield, whom I thought was pretty knowledgeable.

Mayfield is killing it...with close games, injuries.

Anyone who says what 6 did..does not understand football.

Of course ace players at all positions helps. But rthe QB has to insure all of them are in position to make those plays.

Ace players all around...and crappy QB? Or...a coupel aces and average players and a really good QB.

It's not really that complicated. They aren't the same. Dak has played like crap & directly contributed to the playoff losses even when the rest of the team played well enough to win. Even when his team has been riddled with injuries, Mahomes has always played well. Giving his team a chance no other QB would have.

Now mind you, this is always in the conference championship game or Super Bowl cause Patrick always get's his team there.

That's exactly why I posted though. AC complains when anyone posts anything that shows Dak in a less flattering light (regardless how true it is). Says it's divisive. Just looking to start a disagreement. So, for once, Dak is playing well & someone posts something that even critics such as myself agreed with. He can't leave it at that. No, he's got to start making up stuff that says he's "clearly #1".

Just leave it alone & be happy for now. That's all I'm saying.

Oh yeah, I've learned that generally the more vocal a person is about a QB on another team being bad has an inverse relationship to how much they have actually watched them.

Yup, the seasons long, injuries, weather, different opponents all factor into it.
They're all having a great start and have a chance for an outstanding season but 12 more games is a long way to go in the NFL.

The QB is the engine of the offense. The OC is the mechanic

If I have a Ferrari with a woefully undersized engine and it doesn't go fast, I don't replace the mechanic.

QB's do not carry teams.
