Prescott had a very shaky 4th QTR

Why is it always “his defense let him down!” “You expect him to be perfect!” when Dak doesnt get it done in crunch time?

Bryce Young had the same obstacles as Dak this game as well. His defense was getting torched through the air and they were losing at one point in the 4th. He made the crucial throw on fourth down to extend the drive and win the game while Dak was losing yards

At that point its a 0-0 game. Is it so much to ask for our $60m qb to get us into fg range after our defense made a rare stop and got him the ball back???

That was an awful drive, it's tough on a QB when you're not getting much in your running game. Dak overall had a good game, sans that last drive. Defense is just bad...
That’s what I think. We didn’t lose because of Dak. In fact Dak and Pickens kept us in it. We lost cuz our defense is terrible. Like really terrible. But that last drive was pretty bad on the whole offense: playcalling, execution, scheme and timing. Dak was a part of that drive so he shoulders some blame but no more than offensive linemen, rb, and HC.

So the OP isn’t completely wrong cuz that last crucial drive didn’t go good. But that drive and the game is not 100% on Dak. I wonder if Dak and the rest of the offense knew if they didn’t convert and score the game was over and over pressed?

Bryce was getting pressure too. Dak could have made sandwiches back there. Bryce got it done, Dak didn’t. Pretty simple.

Nobody made Dak dump it off twice in a row. Dak wasn’t getting any help from the running game, but some times in today’s NFL the QB must use his legs to extend plays. Dak did not do that in the 4th quarter when we needed him to step up and make a play.
This is true there have been times when I have seen the whole team playing like spit and Dak would assess this and just take it upon himself and make it happen with his legs.

It was almost like he had a sixth sense and didn't trust anybody for the moment knew we needed a play and just decided to make it happen.

We could have used some of that yesterday honestly just really a winnable game that we let get away from us.

In all honesty we can bench race this till we're blue in the face but it's just another time where we as a whole franchise came up just a little short.

There are those with an agenda that just want to blame DAk because it's easy and he makes the most money.

There are those that want to blame the defense

The coaching staff and play calling.
I got to say it's just a soft franchise as a whole.
Nobody did their job today when it mattered.
Notice Jerry didn't want to talk after the game because he knows he hasn't done his job and acquired the talent necessary on defense to get the job done.

27-27

dak throws for -12 yards ..

oh but dont blame dak , slow people will post
Calling people slow while totally ignoring the worst defense in the league that averages 31 pts per game.

I'm sure the irony is lost on the Dak haters.

Look, I dont think Dak is all that great, but cherry picking 3 plays out of the entire game so you can get a hard on for blaming Dak is just bizarre.

Cant take anybody seriously that thinks that way.

Anybody that totally blames the loss soley on Dak and gives the worst defense in the league a pass because of some anti-Dak hate agenda, I just cant take seriously or want to waste my time reading their "thoughts", if you call it that, LOL.

Thread was beneficial for ignore function.

get mad at the QB when your defense let someone go for 240 and not one stop with 6 mins left lol
reminds me of the playoffs against the Rams. they have two rbs that ran all over us. Its hard to win under such conditions.

No man alive could have moved the ball 5 or 10 yards to get into a position to kick a go-ahead field goal.
What am I thinking? If the MVP hadn't gone back 12 yards, Aubrey might have been able to kick it from where we started. It would have taken a real MVP QB to move the ball 5 yards or more. :muttley:

1 team had their running game go for 200 yards, the other barely broke 30.

1 team had a top 15 defense in yards allowed, the other had the 32nd.

1 qb threw for 260, 3 tds, 0 turnovers.

1 qb threw for 199, 3 tds, 1 turnover.

1st quarter when Dak was alledgedly playing great. He had Flournoy open for a TD. He ended up throwing to him after the safety adjusted and closed on him breaking up the pass. Dak is indecisive and doesn't see the field well, he never has.

If you are going to pay your QB like he's the best in the league then he has to perform that way when it counts. Dak routinely does not, not just this game but we have seen it over and over again in do or die situations. Guy was playing decent until the fumbled snap and then it was happy feet, check down time, losing mode. Dak had an opportunity to put the game away and instead from the 46 yard line went backwards 12 yards on 3 consecutive passes. No other elite QB does that not one.

I don't blame Dak for losing the game.
There were a lot of factors in coaching play calling and defense that led to that loss.

But that said after watching Baker Mayfield at half the salary that Dak makes I can see why a lot of fans would be upset.

And trust me although I don't blame him it certainly wouldn't have hurt my feelings if he stepped up put on the cape and got us within field goal range.

Sounds like you are mad at Jerry for being terrible at contract negotiations and I don't blame you but that doesn't change what happened yesterday.

1 team literally just had to execute a NFL handoff all game to win.

The Panthers leading receiver was their RB....

The plays Mayfield is making, Dak on his best day could never..
That has long been one of my points. Other QB's do things on a regular basis that either he's never done or you have to scour his career closely to find one or two comparable plays. He's just not physically or mentally talented enough to do the things they do.

He looked fairly comfortable all game didn’t really get hit/sacked. On the goal line he then fumbled the ball for no apparent reason. Dallas had to settle for 3. For the rest of the quarter he had happy feet despite having plenty of time in the pocket. He didn’t use his legs , didn’t throw anything downfield.

On our last drive Dallas got the ball on the 46 yard line and Dak checked it down 3 times for minus 12 yards. On every single one of those plays he looked like a deer in headlights. No more MVP talk. I don’t care what the stats say, he was off when it mattered most.
Yep just like that drive in OT against the Packers. He just chucked that ball deep and Tolbert made a helluva catch at the four yard line and then Dak did nothing from then on out He tried to run that one time and he always tries to do that under pressure. When he gets under pressure that's when he chokes. They couldn't get in from the four yard line what a joke.
