Prescott had a very shaky 4th QTR

Because Mayfield was the number 1 draft pick taken and went into an organization that was a complete disaster and was expected to resurrect a franchise, while Dak came into a loaded roster with basically 3 HOF linemen that played together for multiple years, a RB that played against more stacked boxes than any other team in the league and Jerry gave him no competition and baby sat him while playing against the weakest division in football…
The team as it currently is won't beat the Giants a second time.

I can't believe we have the worst defense in the NFL, one that just gave up a 6.5 minute drive to kill the game, and there is a 27 page thread on how Dak is the problem because didn't score a 4th TD.

I know this board loves to hate Dak, and a lot of times the criticism has been justified, but it's still surprising the lengths you'll all go to pin every single bad thing on him.

The reality is that it doesn't matter who our QB is this season. The defense is that bad. We can't win because the defense is rock bottom of the league. We made Russel Wilson look like an all-pro and he was benched (probably for the rest of his career) two weeks later. Rico Dowdle just hung 200 yds on us at 6 yards a carry. Caleb Williams had the best game of his career on this team.

Seriously, what sport are you watching? What team are you watching? Because I see a guy that is playing elite and keeping us competitive while our defense leaves receivers 5yds open in the end zone and plays 40 yards off the receivers on 3rd and 2.
You aren’t saying the same thing about the defenses Dak is playing against..

I engage for the fun of it sometimes, but if you’re not having fun—stop. I forget the exact wording but it’s something like: you can’t use logic to challenge beliefs that weren’t formed on the basic of logic.

I don’t know if they are pure trolls or are just too emotionally invested in their hatred of the guy; but either way, you’re not changing their minds. They’ll use whatever they can find to fit the narrative and ignore or discredit everything that doesn’t.

I chuckle imagining them running into the guy in person. The image of it is hilarious. Some guy who spends way too much of his time online bashing Dak—and looks like it—who lives like it—shaking the hand of this rich, successful, talented, handsome guy with a beautiful family—swallowing all of his weird hatred and pretending to be a fan, in the face of someone who has actually done something with his life, a leader and a winner.

It’s beautiful.

He looked fairly comfortable all game didn’t really get hit/sacked. On the goal line he then fumbled the ball for no apparent reason. Dallas had to settle for 3. For the rest of the quarter he had happy feet despite having plenty of time in the pocket. He didn’t use his legs , didn’t throw anything downfield.

On our last drive Dallas got the ball on the 46 yard line and Dak checked it down 3 times for minus 12 yards. On every single one of those plays he looked like a deer in headlights. No more MVP talk. I don’t care what the stats say, he was off when it mattered most.
Not a great drive. Bad play-calling, poor execution. BUT... you're only in this game because of your QB. Anyone else besides 4 and GP come to play? I wished they could have gotten something, but I am not laying blame on 4 here.

Not a Dak defender, but, when you have to score what feels like almost every drive just to keep your team in the game, it can get pretty stressful. For a guy who’s strung a lot of good quarters together, give him a break, he’s gonna have a bad one every now and then.

He's had a great season so far, but I cannot deny that he didn't handle the 4th quarter very well.

Although they ultimately scored 27 the offense struggled at times and clearly if they aren't nearly perfect they probably lose just like they did yesterday.

Well put.

Am I supposed to criticize his current performance based on how he might perform vs. a tougher defense he hasn't played yet?

That was third down. I know the chips fall differently after, but we all know Carolina would have just run it down our throat and built a two-score lead. Game over.

That game wasn't really that close.
Schoonmaker dropped a TD in the end zone that would've given us the lead near the end of the game. Why isn't he the lead story today?

LOL, dropped? That would have been the catch of the year. Bad pass from Dak.
Not even close to catch of the year or even catch of the game. Hit him in the hands where no defender could get it. That's a catch that good players make every quarter of every game, especially when the game is on the line.
