So, two things…first, I asked “Is 91 yards of rushing in an NFL football game in 2025 considered average, above average, excellent, or below average? How would 376 yards of passing be in that same game?”

I asked that because of someone’s assertion that Dak played terribly while our running game was average. Since my own assessment was the opposite, I thought I’d ask ChatGPT.

Second, I do not think ChatGPT is infallible, but I think it is beyond comprehension for some anonymous poster on here to suggest not only that that the collective wisdom (including statistics of every NFL game ever played) is wrong, but that his or her own quite-possibly-pimple-faced-14-year-old opinion is superior to ChatGPT.

I think that is an incredible thing, actually, especially when one’s argument that the collective wisdom of all mankind on the subject is invalid because “facts > feelings”. It’s perhaps the most illogical thing I’ve heard in some time.

Dak was mid. Not the main problem but didn’t play great. We needed him to be great and he wasn’t. He missed some throws and there was not enough room for those errors.

The backwards pass to Ferguson.....Held onto the ball a couple times for bad sacks. Oline was terrible but get rid of the ball. Late second half where he was running left chased by Hutchison and fell down -just throw the ball away. I truly think sometimes he does not want to hurt his completion percentage!

Im seeing a lot of fans “relieved” that the defense should shoulder the blame for this loss as opposed to lumping Dak in there as well.

He played a bad game. The lazy will look at the stat sheet and see he threw for over 300 yards and the ints were the fault of the receivers.

He was inaccurate on several deep passes (got CD concussed).

Threw that horrific backwards pass instead of throwing it away

Led 0 Td drives in the first half against a team missing most of their secondary.

DAK played ok, he missed on a couple, but if you want to place blame he wouldn’t be my first look! You have way too many to see before Dak! I’ll name a few!

Let me help you. A QB usually throws the ball, and a WR usually CATCHES the ball. If a QB places a ball perfectly where the WR is likely to catch it, that is generally the expectation.

There are players on an opposing team called CORNERBACKS whose job is to prevent the completion of a pass. Occasionally, they engage in an act called a “pass break-up” (or a “PBU”). Sometimes, they will intercept the pass themselves, or cause what is known as a DEFLECTION in which their teammate might intercept the pass.

This is what occurred last night.

There are other aspects to football, but this should be helpful.

I’ve wondered the same, but another way of thinking is that he is trying to win a game that clearly requires some big plays. Behind by 14 late, I’d rather he chuck the ball downfield and risk a pick than just throw it away and lose the down entirely.
