Actually it is a team game. Obvious to Mahomes bad season, he doesn't have good WRs (yes, I wrote it), TE (looking like an old Witten now), no running game, and an OL (looking like our's)......the man can't carry the team alone and not expect mistakes to happen, from pressing or anticipating. On this board, all mentioned regarding additional causes for bad Mahomes play, wouldn't be accounted for Dak at all.
So let's be honest......we know how this board plays out.

There's a lot of Pet Catting, finding a blame. In reality its a mixture of:
  • Jerry's conservatism
  • Jerry never overspends on a positional group.....spreads the money and 1 in each area should do.
  • Coaching that's hired depending upon the liklihood of being influenced by Jerry
  • No interest in constructing a Defense.....Offense sells merch
  • We dont have a shoot-out QB
  • We have a QB that can be schemed against, especially when facing a deficit and he has to step up out of his comfort zone.
  • We'll never win without resources thrown at the Defense (even to bring it up to average....so long as we're getting a lead)

I would simply start with our defense being ranked in the mid-range, for a sign of improvement. We don't need to anticipate games with a score of 42-41......not realistic except on Madden. If you've witnessed the play on defense......it's just egregious in several areas. We're last in passes defended, meaning our CBs don't even get their hands involved to contest for PBUs, pass rush comes and goes, ball fakes have our defenders fooled regularly, opponents don't be too concerned with 3rd & long situations anymore. I don't know what one should expect beyond complete perfection from the offense and QB......which is far-fetched. It starts with scheme & talent evaluation ......fail to fix either one and we'll be in the same mess next year. Our defense's performance would be hard-pressed in the XFL.

facts that aubrey missed to field goals.... and dallas didn't score 35 points...this defense has given up 40 and more points three times this season, but yeah, lets blame dak for not leading the offense to 45.

its always the offense that has to win games. God forbid defense do anything. facts!!
JJ McCarthy had his best game of the season. wow..he was averaging about 160 per game and had 250 against cowboys..facts. he had the longest time to make throws of the season. .facts.
they scored at ease. facts.

Dak lives in his head rent free. 365x24x60x60...seemingly he lives in yours too. when you post nothing but Dak comments...you are Daksessed. MC is Daksessed. 99.99999999% of his posts are about Dak. if he had football knowledge, I wouldn't mind much, but he is total TMZ. troll. oh, he is also an eagles fan....you noticed he was not active when cowboys had a chance to catch eagles and his eagles were sucking....then we lose to minny and he is all over this board, feeling cocky.

I'll have the same energy for anyone putting every win or loss on one player... and when they say they're always right, but constantly wrong.

Especially when the player ain't on the one of lowest ranked defenses that averages 30 allowed pts per game.

It is a team game. But...seems a lot of people go to great lengths to prop Dak with stats.

I see several "leads the league in passing yards" threads...as if he passes to himself.

So yes...stats can be funny - odd. And QB's get the great majority of credit and blame. Just the way it is.

I not the stat guy.....it's simple......let the eyeballs tell you what you need to know. And it is coming down to our defense, more and more.......simply horrid. If someone can't see that......Lenscrafters has a Christmas sale going on right now.

Not too hard core on stats myself. And I defend the eye test constantly. When people mock it i ask them "why even watch the game then...you use the eye test all the time"...I get no answer....lol.

Yes...we know the defense is horrible. How much more do we have to talk about it? Other issues may not be as critical, but they get their turn too.
