2025-26 NBA Season

Knicks GM just went on record saying they weren't involved in any big trades at the deadline and that this was the roster they were sticking with and could win the Finals.

Good luck finding a sucker for Trae. Defense allows 10+ points more when he plays and Hawks have a losing record vs winning record when he plays. He basically single-handedly willled his Hawks to that one Eastern Conference Finals not long ago but I guess hasn't worked out like they hoped. Why is it that point guards who don't play defense always seem so popular?

Shooting is a premium. Steph was never a great defender but he played within a strong system and it worked. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen were weak defenders, and played on a team that was giving up like 70 points in playoff games. If you have a strong defensive system and the right players around ( Draymond, Klay, Perkins, Rondo) you can field a stong defense with a weak defender as long as they play within that system

Celtics up to #2 in the East. Brown better be making an All NBA team this year.

Definitely feel good about them next year when Tatum is back. They will also have the resources to reload. They will probably add a Jrue/Porzingis caliber guy in the offseason, if they dont in season. Jaren Jackson's name has been floated. That would be lovely.

They've done a good job hanging in there with all the injuries. Nico take note. :muttley:

Soon to be 33 YO, often injured and wanting a max contract extension AD is not worth the Pels pick. Nobody wants to deal with that mess and the Mavs would do good to get a mid 1st rounder and expirings for him at this point.
I agree to an extent. If I feel I’m one player away then I don’t care what the price is if I’m the Hawks. If I’m the Mavs what on earth would I even want from then? KP and Kennstd? You’ve said you aren’t trading Ricascher so what do you have? Nothing.

They can’t have it both ways. You can’t say oh he’s too injury prone….ok so why are you trading for him? Obviously his injury can’t be that much of a concern. If they don’t want to deal the pick move on.

A mid 1st for Davis would be a great haul at this point
