Still don't understand what the Vikings were thinking. He played really well last year and looked like he'd finally figured the league out a bit. Then they went for a college guy that wasn't that great at Michigan. McCarthy sucked this year.

Seattle is going to be good for a while. Darnold is becoming what his draft profile said he'd be.

Ah so it's a "team game" when it fits the narrative for Dak; I see. Then do not bring up Dak's amazing stats and career, because it's a team game and it shouldn't matter.

The Dallas offense is better than their defense, no doubt. A big reason for that is the resources we have pored into the offense vs the defense (and we seem to hit better players on offensive players than defensive).

Dak as a rookie walked into the best offensive line in the NFL with 1st rounders like Freebird, Martin and Tyron. Also we had the number 1 RB in football and a Prime Dez and Whit.

We kept on adding offensive talent along the line with out top picks as well as with a 1st for CD and Amari Cooper, to make Dak comfortable. How many teams spent 6 1st round picks (33%) in 15 years on the Oline?

A more balanced approach to team building would have made our D much better, but to be fair we blew some high picks on Taco and Mazi too.

that's fair on the surface but what happens when you run up against those teams with real playoff defenses? each of the winning QB's has had to "beat the defense with some throws" in the elements.

there is a decade of evidence that says he isn't making enough of those plays.

they play Texans in the rain, snow, cold and I doubt he scores. (that Texan D is legit)

Some more than others but every one of those QB's got it done when it absolutely needed to get done. Dak has never shown that and in those situations the quality of his defense plays zero role in what the QB does.

He can be good when the heat is low and outside the redzone though.

And here we go again, either putting Prescott on a pedestal, or on a cross. Does it really matter whether Prescott is better than Donald, or Donald better than Prescott. I just don't get it, the only thing that matters is that the Seahawks are better than the Cowboys. It's a talent acquisition business, but only teams advance. Both Roger and Troy had a pretty good supporting casts.

I wouldn't take it so personal or defensively. It's only natural for fans, spectators, appreciaters for the sport...to note comparisons. Just passin the time, bruh.


In fact...I'm doing for our whole team, not just dak. These defenses are KILLING me with their speed, coverage and agressive play...making Cowboys look like T-ball participants. It's almost like I'm watching a different sport.

I think it matters because of the resources being spent on the QB position in addition to the offense overall. Typically I hate this argument because numbers can be played with to make the cap work, but Dak is an extreme case. When you're making that much money it does start to limit what you can do with the rest of the team. Yes Jerry gets his share of blame as well as he could throw some cash at the problem to help it, but we are at the point where Daks deal is a hinderance. With how much of the cap he takes up the expectation is that he needs to play at an MVP level or else the value just isnt there to justify the resources he takes up.

I've watched him kill the clock in the last minute with an out of bounds throw, givin gtheother team time to seal the win.

I saw him slide to end the game instead of ...SOMETHING...a hail mary maybe?

I watched him not be able to manage a downfield snap, ending the game.


I'm not sure he has that keen mental edge that you need in these tight challenging situations. If anyone wants to counter my three examples of Dak tightly managing these kinds of scenarios...maybe we'll call it a wash?

Well, Sam Darnold led the Seattle Seahawks to their franchise 5th NFC Conference finals. Will be his first, which makes him a better QB than Dak Prescott.

Sure, all the stats will be thrown out saying Prescott is but stats are for players contracts.
Fans --which Dallas fans are starving for-- ONLY care about ONE thing....WINS.

Then Dallas fans will say Prescott has more wins that Darnold then I say, the ONLY stats fellow starving Cowboys
care about is (FIRST) getting to a NFC Conference finals, which Prescott, nor Romo, has ever accomplished.

Then Dallas fans could/might say, Seattle has a better team around Darnold.
Then again, I say it is about WINS and if the Seahawks have a better team, which now Demarcus Lawrence plays
for and a ProBowler, then that blame directly on the grocery shopper. He buys the groceries and hired the coaches.

Like Demarcus Ware, Mr. Lawrence and future ( or current) Dallas players must get out of Dallas if they want to even play in a NFC Conference game because Jerry's Pride will never allow this franchise to see another conference finals.

So I hope Mr. Lawrence gets a chance to play in a Supwerbowl, maybe win it and down the line, sign his one day contract as a Dallas Cowboy as Mr. Ware did.
