I don’t care about his awards. All I care about is the 2026 season and building the team to compete. Any personal issues I have with players are put on a back burner. Team comes first.

I responded to a person claiming Sam Darnold would have taken us to the playoffs. I didn't tie Dak to Darnold, the person i responded to did.

I clearly stated that Darnold IS BETTER than Dak right now in the same post that you responded to..... Which part of that didn't sound like i didn't give Sam Darnold props?

Sorry if it seemed as if I was attacking you....I wasn't trying to. It's just comparing what Dak has with what Darnold has in Seattle at the present time is like apples and oranges. And not because of who the QBs are.

I know that during the season our offense was one of the best in the league and our defense was one of the worst. Seattle had a pretty good offense and a great defense. Not an easy comparison.

Comparing Darnold to other QBs in the playoffs. He has better overall weapons than Josh Allen and a better defense.

To Stafford, he doesn't have quite as good overall weapons as the Rams, but his defense is better.

He has more weapons than Nix has, and a comparable defense.

He has similar weapons to Detroit with a better defense.

Better weapons and better defense than Pitt had.

Better weapons and better defense than NE has.

This doesn't make him better or worse than any of the above. Just that he is taking advantage of the great supporting cast he has.

But Darnold > Prescott since Seattle > Dallas is just silly, since to make that argument you're disrespecting the #1 defense in the NFL that allows 17 points a game and giving the credit to a game manager while you're at it.

The reason they have a good defense is they aren't paying their QB 60 mil a year and having to have 2 no 1 receivers to make his stats sing.

Is Dak overpaid? Yes. But That’s just not true at all and nothing but a continuance on the erroneous blame the QBs contract for everything that ails us narrative. So much wrong it’s hard to address at once. Eagles have a good defense. They have a highly paid (way overpaid of course) QB and 2 highly paid WRs. Not to mention that only one of our WRs was highly paid so the eagles QB and top 2 WRs made more than ours last year. And it’s been covered on here over and over how much cap space we could clear if we want to so that too is just wrong

Lastly if you really want proof our total defensive contracts are $125.5M and Seattle's total defensive contracts are $119.9M.

Completely agree. I like Dak over Darnold, but I really think Daks contract cancels out a lot of the value he brings to the Cowboys.

Great post!! I think its laughable and quite ignorant how many here are trying to put Dak down by Darnold going to the Superbowl as if they both were in the same team wide situation.

Dak is the first top 4 production in a season quarterback in history I've heard blamed for failing to miss the playoffs playing on a team with the last ranked defense. Intelligent people know that if we had not even a great defense, but just a good one, we'd make a playoff run.

With that said, im actually proud of Darnold. The man has been through alot career wise and he definitely deserves to be in the Superbowl this year. This is his twelfth season and this goes to show that just because you are great in the earlier part of your career, you can still overcome in the right situation.

You are correct but most of those guys made it to the SB and CCGs, you need to get to a SB which means get to a CCG. There’s always the odd outlier like Dilfer or the Philly QB. But no one is taking any outlier over the QBs you named
