2025-26 NBA Season

The Clippers were actually the team I was thinking of...

Some combination of Hartenstein + 12 for 5? Saves them a roster spot and gets them close to the second apron
Lmao. Hartenstein and 12 isn’t getting you anywhere near 5. Particularly in this draft.

I’m not sure what you are trying to get at. It’s inexcusable what is going on in NYC.
You should have stopped right there because you literally went on to make excuses from population to the "importance" between sports.

If you believe that hickey is "mild" the entire populations of Montreal and Toronto would like to have a word with you.

The difference is the people and the culture of those people.......but if you want to find excuses or "intellectual reasons" for violence and destruction, be my guest.

Where did I excuse it?

I listed reasons as to why I thought what happened was predictable/not surprising. Doesn’t mean I excuse the behavior.

No different than everyone was predicting Philly would become a nightmare after the game when they finally won a Super Bowl. Everyone saw it coming. They weren’t excusing it.

Are the Hurricanes in Montreal or Toronto?

To be clear, I think Wemby is just better than Holmgren and that isn't going to change

But the Knicks showed, you need a big that can stretch the floor to pull Wemby out the lane

So I think OKC should go with Holmgren at the 5
Even J Will can stretch the floor. I’m scared of Holgrem at the 5…maybe it was a weird one off but man that was strange with what down against San Antonio.

Tale of Two Cities.

Knicks win Championships....teen shot, buses torched, 63 arrests in NYC.

Hurricanes win Championship....absolute calm breaks out in downtown Raleigh and fans celebrate with civility.

Just the facts.....spin them accordingly, if one must, or merely recognize that the fatigue is real
Nobody cares about Hockey though.

I'm not sure how rules on roster size and when it actually matters, kick in... but I'm under the impression they have one open roster spot

Personally, I think they package those picks and a veteran to move up, because right now their tax bill is over $250 million

You almost have to find a taker Isiah Hartenstein or decline his club option because that alone saves you $70 million or so and can potentially get you below the second apron
I think OKC is definitely trying to consolidate assets.

Plus, they have Sorber coming back. I’m curious as to what they end up doing.

With Peterson only meeting with the Wizards, I wonder if the Wizards are taking him 1st. He’s a 3 level scorer unlike AJ.

Jazz likely go AJ 2…. But man, I get the Boozer infatuation.

You think so? You can name 40
Better?
I think Flagg will be good, but he's an average defender that shoots below 30% from three.

I just don't think that's top 40

He'll be fine, he'll improve, but I don't think he's better right now, than a lot of teams second and third best players

I don’t know man based on just last season no projections? Tough to name 40 more.
I think he has more upside than quite a few people I'd name, I just don't think he's better than a hand full of guys who had a bad post season that I assume you'd push back on.

Like Randle and Fox are better

Flagg will past them, I don't know when, but he hasn't yet.

Same for other players like LeMelo Ball who I wouldn't want on my team per se, but at this point, Flagg hasn't passed them

He broke all sorts of records and his team wasn't very good. He was also the focal point for the opposing teams defense.
He also played out of position to start the year and even continued some throughout the year. Oh, and Dallas didn't have a true PG to get him the ball. He had to create his own shots.

I'm aware he broke a few youngest to do x, y or z records

I just don't put much stock in those

When you have a lot of talent and you enter the league younger than others... you tend to break those records

Am I missing any records that any and all players are eligible for?

He broke mostly Lebron's records. That's pretty telling.

  • Most Points by a Teenager in a Game: Dropped a massive 51 points against the Orlando Magic in April 2026, breaking his own previous teenage scoring record of 49 points set earlier in the season. [1, 2]
  • Most 40-Point Games by a Teenager: Recorded his 4th career game with 40-plus points, passing LeBron James for the most in NBA history by a teenager. [1, 2]
  • Youngest with a 50-Point Game: Became the first teenager in NBA history to score 50 points in a single game. [1, 2]

  • Youngest to a 45/5/5 Game: Youngest player in NBA history to record at least 45 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in a single game. [1]
  • Historical Company: Became the first rookie since Allen Iverson (1997) to record back-to-back 40-point games, and the first since Walt Bellamy in 1962 to score 45-plus points in consecutive games

Plus more

For upside, I'm not denying he has upside

I'm not even denying he had a good rookie season... I just don't think it's anything that stands out compared to veteran players
