News: Fox: Tony Romo arrested in Milwaukee for OWI

LOL, you said it sounds like he was driving dangerously. THat is an assumption. You said she must have smelled alcohol. That's an assumption.

And if a cop asked me to get out of the car for field sobriety tests....I would probably want a lawyer's advice too. Those are very much in favor of the police. Nobody impaired is going to be able to stand on one foot for 20 seconds like he did.
LOL!

1) She DID tell him multiple times that she smelled booze on him. He didn't argue or say he disagrees, which is telling because he verbally disagreed with other things (like when he kept reiterating that the shooters in his bag were unopened).

2) He failed all of the tests miserably by not even being able to follow the simple instructions.

This issue will never EVER end. While people scream to ban guns, it is alcohol that does so much more harm and killing of people through car accidents. We are told repeatedly, NOT TO DRINK & DRIVE but people continually ignore this and think they are above the law. So when they get pulled over, "celebrities/people of name status" try to, like the Race Card, pull out their Status Card. When it doesn't work, they get upset. Hopefully, they don't get into a car accident risking harm and property to the innocent person.
If they happen to kill someone, while drunk driving, they cry that they are so sorry then "lawyer up" to protect themselves from the law. The person they killed is dead but the drunk driver wants protection/mercy. All along, knowing they should not have been driving drunk.
Sorry, Tony you need your license revoked for years at minimum. And another example NOT to glory any person because they / all ( yes me also) fall short. Thankfully, Romo didn't hurt anyone and yes, he shall be forgiven but their needs to be consequences.
11.9k people are killed each year due to drunk driving out of 343m people in the USA. The % is about 0.0035, It will never be Zero.

He actually doesn't....it's on TV, and it's mindless stuff that is basically background noise for me. Context is a difficult thing for many on here to understand
Yeah difficult to understand the context when it's continually inaccurate.

After watching everything we've seen and all the evidence that's out there.
I don't believe that Tony was impaired enough to be a hazard on the road or unable to drive from what I saw in the test they gave him.
He walked a line he stood on one foot he just didn't do things exactly the way they asked him but he was stretching and doing other things that people wouldn't do if they were drunk.

That said he may have had a few and been over the legal limit but does anybody believe he was too impaired to drive from what they saw in the videos

Okay I can probably forgive you for being Canadian since you know and love Texas BBQ. Lol
Plenty of Canadian angst on this forum, but so goes it.....I bet if I were to admit that I watch about 2,445 BBQ shows to feed my hobby, the clowns wouldn't have a word to say? Fortunately, I have a slow metabolism so I can feed into it. That being said, almost time to prep the Pork Tendeloin with Char Siu, lol

What are you talking about? He was pulled over by a Milwaukee County Sheriff's deputy for unsafe passing on the right & lane deviation. Lol.

Yep....it's all a bit strange. "Intoxicated". "Impaired". What is that? LE has put an arbitrary number (typically .08 but as low as .02 BAC), as if everyone reacts the same to it. Then the have the field sobriety tests which are (obviously) subjective.

If I was Tony, I'd ask my lawyer about the original reason for being pulled over. If he did something wrong THERE, why didn't he get a citation for that too? Because he didn't. Sus.

Boy, plenty of assumptions you made above; it's almost as if some on here haven't watched the video, eh? I suppose for some they would have just wanted Tony to come out and say, "You got me, bud, put me in cuffs."

LOL, the same Redsfan has been here all along...the one who doesn't put up with immaturity, lack of brain cells, as well as a failure to comprehend or understand. I enjoy a good debate as well as others do, but my inner Drake comes out when childish insinuations become part of the chatter. p.s. I couldn't care less if a certain few are "ribbing" me (which is ignorance, not ribbing); they aren't worth the curds on the bottom of my poutine

My favorite BBQ place of all time was the Barb B Barn on rue Guy in Montreal.

Have you read ANY of the information provided about what he did wrong and the fines for each? Seems like you missed it.

  • Operating While Under the Influence
  • Possession of Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle: A $267 fine issued after deputies found an open bottle of alcohol on the passenger side while inventorying his Jeep to be towed.
  • Unsafe Passing on the Right - A $235 fine
  • Refusing to Take an Intoxication Test - could result in a 1 year suspension
