I thought the humor was terrible. Ruined the movie. I had to work just to finish it (for free!)

I had some hopes for it but I can certainly see why it bombed.
I did not make it through the whole thing. I did enjoy the references to the he man dancing theme.

One thing I thought was really weird was making Skeletor a sarcastic comedic role. I mean a few lines were kind of funny but why.

Just watched the Odyssey this morning at 8a, lool.

Good movie. Very entertaining.

I will say, strangely enough, I thought the fight scenes were poorly choreographed and a bit cheesy.

I'll have to agree to disagree based upon the trailer and the few scenes I've seen. I'm pretty sure I would turn it off before I got 20 minutes in.
We may not disagree. I don't doubt you'd turn off. If it wasn't my nephew who'd suggested it, I would have too...but the first one was without any redeeming qualities at all.

At least this one knew how cheesy it was, and went with it. Kinda like Buffy the Vampire Slayer , but not good.

Agreed.

A weird and terrible decision.

Jared Leto seems to have the kiss of death.

Most people think he was the best part. I enjoyed it. My 12 year old niece loved it. I think the humor and self depreciation was needed, given how cheesy the source material is.
I thought the sense of humor was terrible. Nothing this person thought was funny, was. None of it landed. And the movie bombed, hard.

His movies do not tend to do as well...but I have to say I liked many of his roles.

Liked him as the joker even though nobody will outdo the ledger role.
I liked him in the Tron movie
Thought he did ok in Morbius.

Problem is that the movies themselves were just not very good as a whole.

I think one of his best was a little known movie called the Outsider where he became a member of the yakuza

My family wanted to watch “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” the other night

A disjointed, boring movie filled with cliches that wastes the talent of actors like Jesse Eisenberg, Lizzy Caplan and Woody Harrelson. A predictable plot that lacks any substantial depth. Yet somehow, they’re making a 4th.

I’d give it a 4.7/10. Not “bad” but absolutely boring to me, and doesn’t even compare to the very fun and creative first film of the series.
I can't stand Jesse Eisenberg as an actor. He's not natural at all. Hard to like his characters.

watched 3 classics during tcm's humphrey bogart marathon.
•the big sleep...10/10...love that movie.
great story telling...excellent characters.
philip marlow...nuff said.
•harder they fall...10/10...bogart's last film...arguably his best performance.
•dead reckoning...8/10...excellent movie...great story.

Finally got around to watching Backrooms. 5/10. I almost turned it off 30 minutes in. Pretty rough dialogue. It went off the deep end about 2/3 of the way through and I thought that was cool and the only reason I rated it a 5. The main character has always been a bit of an over actor. I don't think I will ever watch it again.

He's OK when he plays the quirky on-the-spectrum guy. It works when you are in your 20s, but pushing 50, yeah, doesn't work.

I turned backrooms off about thirty minutes in. Just was not doing much for me and I was tired.

Heard Eisenberg is a really turd. A few other actors basically said he acts like an entitled jerk.

Meh...standard shark movie. Only thing different is it is set in cave system.

Reminded me a bit of

Rogue is better IMO.

THAT'S how you make a superhero movie. Excellent dialogue. Excellent cinematography. Excellent acting (even minor characters did very well). Excellent direction. Excellent special effects. Not one second of the film is wasted. Even the lone end credits cut scene was great. Extremely short, but great.

Heck. I may go see it again.
It was good. The slow setup part was a tad boring but after that it got better.
I think I like far from home better overall.

Marvel movies can irk you because they take different liberties with some characters continuity and their time lines. Like a Young Jean Grey in this one. No professor X or the school yet. On a side note, the young actor playing Jean Grey did a good job and I also thought she did great in the Fear Street movies. On the ending scene...are they setting up Secret Wars?
