Is Von the new team leader?

I would think He, Quinnen, Dak, and maybe someone like a Ty Booker(who, in spite of his short tenure is a born leader), to be amongst the loudest and most respected voices in the locker room.

No disrespect to Dak, and not that it even matters. Can you see him taking over the team leadership role in a sense where guys go to him due to his age and success in the league. This isn't a bash Dak thread!!!! I think they'll be both great leading this team. I know the guys on defense are going to love being lead by him, please give your input!!
This will remain Dak's team, but Miller may take a bit of the load off Dak's shoulders, which may be very welcomed by Dak. Perhaps he will be the leader on defense.

Just like Dak can lead the whole team, I think Von Miller has enough stout to do the same. He's been able to do that with all of his previous teams. Von Miller even spoke one Sunday at my church here in Lexington KY.

OP question is a bit loaded but not as ridiculous as we may think. Vonn Miller will not be 'the' team's leader BUT his experience, trophies and presence will certainly add to the leadership. It will be silly for players NOT to pick his brain for tips or edges. No, this won't be his team, nor will he be the face but mentoring and helping younger players, we can certainly expect.

Besides, I don't recall him ever having a face of the team or this is my team type of dominant leadership role at any of his previous stops. Seems he always kinda did his thing and spoke with the media as needed.

As Dware mentioned.......Vonn just happy to be

By week eight, Caleb is going to emerge as the clear leader of the defense.

Overshown is a possibility, but I don’t think Miller is going to play enough to be considered a “leader.”

Maybe in the locker room, which is an underrated skill, especially here with Jerry looming.

Was Von the team leader in Washington? How did that work out for their defense? I swear some of you have a two second memory.

He holds his own pass rush summit for players around the league to attend and become better at their craft.

We finally have a winner we have had collections of talent but we finally have a guy that can teach them how to win.
And why DAL should sustain the wins. Tired of the W L W carousel.

I know we eat Jerry's cheese every year but guys, the feeling is different this year, at least for me. For the first time in years, this team seems to have the leadership to survive playoff challenges.

I would think Quinnen would have something to say about that. ;)
I agree and I just feel Quinnen Williams is the leader of this defense. Von Miller will lead this OLB group, Von is a winner, and he will be a vocal leader for this team. Von will be like having a coach on the field, especially with all pass rushers on this team, he might be able to help Quinnen Williams with some pass rush moves as well. One things for sure the the OLB room looks better instantly.

Von Miller will be a vocal leader and help everyone on the Defense get better, this is a huge move. This pass rush should thrive with Von in the mix.

Agreed. I live in DC and Miller basically didn’t practice at all last year as a result of load management. And had the quietest 9 sacks you’ve ever seen.

Four more sacks puts him top ten all time. I wonder if he’d still be playing if he was already there.

Don’t think he’s necessarily a bad addition to the team, just that a lot of people are setting themselves up for disappointment when they see which version of Von Miller we’re getting.

Will certainly be happy to be proven wrong.

Absolutely. Dak is melo toast . Von is all fire and has the rings to prove it
