Dak only had 1 first half failure, so you are already fibbing (as usual). Instead, why don't you name the many plays (just in the 1st half alone) Dak made to keep drives alive or offset some poor blocking from his Oline?

As a strong supporter, I agree he wasn't the problem but he wasn't the answer either and against lesser opponents and slow first starts, that's a problem. There is NO excuse for him and this offense to take 2-3 series to get going.

This is fair. With the money and talent in the persons of Dak, the 2 WRs and the RB....we should be aggressive from the jump. I don't think Schotty expected this kind of defensive performance. Which shows his and Parkers inexperience. Harbaugh knew what he wanted to do....and he did it!!!

Well Dak is a 10 year vet, the defense is in its first game, and the dropped passes, I only saw one that was a good pass to pickens down the sideline.
They hurt, but the int was bad as it was the difference in being tied or 7 points behind at the half.

The whole team though shares the blame, because hardly any of them
shined.
If they are going to win, Dak needs to be better, but after 10 years , I think he is as good as he can get.

I agree Dak is as good as he is going to get.....he will never be the best QB in the NFL....he will not be top 5 in the NFL....he is top 10 - 12ish. The 2 QBs in the Super Bowl last year are not top 10 - 12ish...which means there is a lot more that goes into making a Super Bowl than being a top 3 QB. And honestly, even a top 3 QB would not get this franchise to the Super Bowl. Front office, coaching, discipline, defense, luck, low penalties....all that factors in...and those are areas we are not good in...there is not a QB alive that can overcome all of that

Disclaimer: For the 1000th time...I am not a Dak lover or hater...I am a Cowboys fan..and I evaluate the entire operation...and the entire operation is below average...which is why we have not busted through in 30 years.....but I do not think our primary problem is the QB

Dak Prescott is not the problem with this team and this franchise. Neither was Tony Romo. Both were "good enough" to win. Teams have won with worse. The problem is of course management and coaching. I submit that this organization is suffering from a bad case of "lack of confidence" due to inept leadership.

It seems Schotty and Dak take the first 2-3 series, trying to see IF they can score, rather than aggressively attacking the end zone. To be honest, I tend to believe it's more Dak than Schotty coz these slow starts were problems under MM also.

He had 6 possessions all game and we scored 20 points (should've been 21).

That is elite production on a points per drive basis.

There is no "answer" when your defense is historically terrible. Don't care who the QB is.

I get that but Dak and this offense are supposed to be elite. Meaning it has to be the difference-maker against lesser opponents because of our 'historically terrible' defense. No excuses .... the experience and talent are too strong. I do think they will be fine, but you have to go out and earn respect EVERY game; hype be damned.

It all started with the Packers playoff game. 5 straight TDs surrendered to Jordan Love, and the Dak haters never talk about it.

I get that, Yo, but that was then. We're talking about today, right now, 2026. We are completely overhauling the defense. That will take time, but we still have our elite offense from last season with a year of experience. Asking them to play elite ball for 60 min isn't a lot.........we can't have silly penalties, routine drops, missed blocking assignments, or rookie-type interceptions. Just can't ....not if we are who we think we are.

BTW.....absolutely love the Bears' offensive mentality. Williams says they expect to score TDs on every possession. That's elite BEING elite......

While he certainly is one of the lower concerns when it comes to the loss to the giants imo however his INT cost us 7pts and arguably pushed the unstoppable boulder of momentum in the Giants favor. Something the defense never recovered from.

Dak WAS elite overall.

He's 3rd in QBR and 4th in EPA/play after Week 1.

He's the only QB who has to play a PERFECT game just for a shot to win.
