Holley: That's the difference between Dak and Romo

Imagine making 60 million, knowing this franchise cant trade or cut you, and still listening to your "boss" on the sideline instead of going for the win.

11 year veteran.

The more I watch that play, the more I think Dak had butterfingers and Schotty is taking this beating for Dak.
You might be right; but then again Schotty might actually be that timid as regards the end of games.

The difference is that Romeo would have risked throwing a pick 6 the other way to potentially win the game. And if it didn't work, he would be skewered here all week, just like Dak is now. That part doesn't change....

Jesse Holley is the biggest hater around. I can’t stand him in Hangin with the boys. All he talks about himself and how the Cowboys suck. I’m sure he’s one of the haters here on a regular basis.
Just because one speaks the truth, does not a hater make. Did you watch the Bears QB last night? He hasn't played since Dak reupped his contract.....and believe it or not, I like Dak, he just doesn't have the "it" factor when it matters most. And yes, he should have ignored the order

He's right.

I remember this moment. Tony had what we find out was broken ribs. So to be fair to Garrett, he was probably protecting his QB as well. Tony - fractured ribs and all - made that legendary throw to a nobody who became somebody. Slow as hell Holley lol...remember him getting tracked down too.

So you are saying Dak played it even more conservatively than Schottenheimer instructed. I think you're right.
I think he panicked and brain farted there. I think he was told if the first read isn't there, chuck it away because we can't take a sack. The played started, Dak looked at GP and he just panicked and chucked it into the crowd because he was afraid to take a sack there.

This is so overblown. I don't think Schottenheimer literally meant to just snap it and throw it away. He meant don't take any stupid chances, to throw it away if you don't like what you see.

This is the problem now with coaches trying to take bullets for players. The age old wisdom is for leaders to take responsibility, but the media and fans take this literally and think he really meant, "Just throw it away, don't even try to score here." Of course he wanted to score, otherwise they'd just kick the FG on third down.
yea. this is what i said immediately after it happened. dak choked. the game is too fast for him and he plays not to loze vs to win. having a HC take the blame is only a bigger indictment to the playet PAID THE MOST IN THE ORGA IZATOON TO EXECUTE THOSE EXACT MOMENTS

All i gotta say is Dak has to make that play…. He choked and its that simple, just like all the other end of game chokes.. this one just wasn't a pick 6 thats all…The 60 million qb has no excuses… cuz everyone and their mom knows the top 5 qbs make that play regardless of throw away or not. 100 percent shotty said first read or chuck it. Dak didn't let the first read finish before firing outta bounds. Deer in the headlights cost the game like always.
