A second round pick is a no brainer.

I wasn’t on board with a first but he’s definitely worth a second.

Man cover or not he’s head and shoulders above any CB we’ve had in a long long time

Yeah the 2028 2nd rounder made me like the move. Was lukewarm on a 2027 2nd rounder, but wouldn't have been terrible. Lot of negative reactions, but if another team in the division made the same move there would probably be a lot of criticism on why the front office didn't make the move, lol

He isn't an interception machine, but he makes a lot of pass deflections and makes receivers drop passes knocking them out of their hands.
So I can't complain. Seems strong as well... seen him take down a few TEs easily.

It allows Parker to do some things as well. Downs seems to be a solid cover guy in the slot. So porter can help you even more in man coverage. Maybe Parker chooses to blitz more with guys like overshown (when healthy) and Barham.

Or maybe it allows downs to play more safety.
