I'm normally a guy who likes building with young players in the draft, but right now, I'm kinda liking the idea of signing Bobby Wagner and trading for Khalil Mack. Mack wouldn't really block the development of Lawrence, whom we have a first invested in, and he's not going to cost a ton to aquire. He's still a damn good pass rusher and his cost, both in salary this year and draft capital to get is low. We'd have Mack, EZ, Gary, Lawrence and Von as an Edge rotation. Not great but solid.
Wagner would give us another proven inside LB to go with Barham and Winters. Winters to me is just a depth guy.
I know Wagner is old, but he had 162 tackles last year. By all accounts a great teammate and likely a great example and teacher for Barham, plus another downhill ILB to help in run support and give us better depth.Obviously, if something bigger presents itself we should look at it.
This would get us help at pass rusher, run support and not cost any premium picks.
I honestly think Overshown should be tried as a pass rusher, he just won't hold up in run support at ILB.
