That is fine as long as you do it with the other "big QB's" in the league.

He has multiple wins at NY and at Philly. He has won in Green Bay. He has beaten an undefeated Indy team later in a season. He has a win against a Saints team late in a year. There are many wins and big wins scattered around his resume.

The Saints were also Undefeated when the Cowboys beat them. Looks like Romo is pretty good against Winning teams.

Why don't you stop being a lazy person and compile the data yourself to support your argument?

A better measure would be how he performs against top defenses. Wins and losses are most of the time a team effort or lack there of.

You know, you can do your own research.

Also, I don't quite know what your point is. All QBs and teams would have a better record against bad teams than against good ones, right?

Oh what the hell, here are the numbers. This is for every game Tony's started through last season. Teams are classed as winning or losing based on their record in non-Cowboys games (so if we beat a team that finishes 8-8, they went 8-7 in their other games and fall on the "winners" side). Four games are dropped out - we split with an 8-8 WAS in 2008 and an 8-8 PHI in 2007.

All regular season starts:
vs. Winners: 15-11, 0.577 Win %
vs. Losers: 22-8, 0.733

All starts, including postseason:
vs. Winners: 16-14, 0.533 Win %
vs. Losers: 22-8, 0.733

All reg. season starts through 2009 (skipping the abomination that was last season):
vs. Winners: 15-10, 0.600
vs. Losers: 21-5, 0.808

All starts through 2009, including postseason:
vs. Winners: 16-13, 0.551
vs. Losers: 21-5, 0.808

So, the Romo-led Cowboys have dominated bad teams and more than held their own with good teams. Again, did you expect anything different, given their overall 40-24 record?

Right! Might as well change the team name to the Dallas Romos since he's the only one responsible for wins and losses. :D

No, Romo is the only one responsible for losses. It is because of others when Dallas wins.

:laugh2:

Romo is responsible for all the ills of the world. Maybe the Cowboys need to trade for Tebow so he can save them/us.

Are wins and losses not stats? If you don't care about Stats, why worry about his wins and losses?

Oh yea, you have an agenda to push,, carry on.

I posted this the other day --

I just checked all 62 of Romo's career starts, and he's 16-14 against teams that had a winning record against other QBs when we played them and 16-14 against teams that finished with winning records against other QBs (if we go ahead and assume that the Jets will finish at least 9-7, or 16-13 if we don't). He's 12-11 against teams that had winning records against other QBs both when we played them and at the end of the season. He's 6-3 against teams that finished with at least 11 wins against other QBs.

Romo also is 4-0 against teams that had at least six wins and one loss or less against other QBs when we played them (13-0, 9-0, 10-1 and 6-1), and he's 5-0 against the teams with the five best records against other QBs when we played them (13-0, 11-2, 11-3, 10-1 and 9-0) in the second half of the season. In those six wins combined, his passer rating is 113.1.
