I'm a huge Romo homer, but I agree, those few instances are some cause for concern, but to me, the three years of playing with O-Lines that gave him NO time and him still finding a way to make plays balances the worrying for me a little bit

You still don't get it. Lesson failed. Read up on some NFL greats. Maybe you'll believe them about having to run the ball to win in the NFL.

I deal with what we have not some fantsy you live in. I do want Dallas to run the ball but not running for the sake of running but doing so effectively. If a defense is shutting down the run then you don't keep doing it if you do the only team you are running the clock out on is yourself. You think you are giving Lessons? Buddy you don't have a clue, save it for your jr football buddies

And who ever said that? And yes, I gave you a lesson but you're obviously too narcissistic to take heed.

I don't have any concerns about Romo. He played a fine game. I wasn't upset with him at all. I thought he showed a ton of patience with the way the Giants D was playing against Dez. That's what you want to see. That he's going to remain patient, take what they give him, and trust his other players.

It was nice to see Witten and Austin have some very productive games with the Giants spending so much time worried about Dez.

Rewatched the game last night (had it on in the background, anyway). That final pick-6 (how nice a phrase is that to say?), you could see the smile and the relief on Tony's face as he realized the defensive secondary bailed him out again that night and that he wasn't going to have to go in and win (or lose) the game on the final drive. How often have we seen that over the last four seasons? Honestly? So nice to see, for once.

Yeah it was very nice to see the defense get a huge play when it was absolutely needed to seal a win.

Bailed him out? Seriously? He didnt allow all of those points, the secondary did.

You know what I mean.

Sun night, though, that defense only gave up 17 net points, and they gave the offense the ball early 6 times while doing so. That's not shabby, even if they were torched by 3 100-yard WRs.

By what standards is he average?

No point in debating/arguing with the trolls man, all he's doing is trying to get a reaction out of people. I've learned over the years that if you just ignore those type of people they'll eventually leave, all they want is attention.

Romo didnt do anything to lose the game. He played it safe. I am good with that.

The only concern is, I do not want him tossing 40+ every week.

Who's a troll? Saying Romo is an Average QB isnt Trolling, it my opinion. Never said the Cowboys couldn't win with Romo, nor did i say he was awful or had a bad game. He missed some throws and missed some receivers who were open at other times. Moreover, if i were trying to get a reaction out of people id probably have more than the 600+ post i have over a 5 year period reading this board. So you can stop with the "troll" labeling just because we share different opinions.

By my opinion, All the QB ratings and other stats that people throw out is of little concern to me. Its about 6 or 7 other starting Qb's in the league i would absolutely rather have then Romo, including Eli, and its another 6 or so young QB's id probably take over him based on their potential.

It was wonderful to see. It still scares me that before that point we had 5 turnovers, the Oline had given Tony plenty of time to throw, the running game was decent, and yet with 2 minutes to go Eli is driving for the go ahead score. Something is majorly wrong with that picture and it is cause for concern. We are still struggling majorly in the red zone and not putting up points when we should be.

By calling him average, it makes you seem very obtuse, because no one in their right mind would call him average. Even if they can't stand the guy. I'm not going to speak of all his credentials of why he's not average, because it's very obvious to most of us. :)
