Rivers threw for 400 yards and 3 TD, completing over 80% of his passes. It's only the 5th time that has happened since 1960.

All five games were wins for that QB.

I'm 51 years old. I'm been there for 5 SB wins, 3 SB loses, I've been there for 1-15 and during that entire time I lived and died with the Dallas Cowboys, good and bad. I hate Jerry Jones. Not as much for what he has done to this team in the past 15 years, but for what he has done to me. I'm numb, I'm dead. I sit and watch every game without any emotion anymore. When they do good, I immediately look up in the upper left corner of the tv for the flag. When they do bad, I PRAY for that flag. I have become the most angry, bitter, miserable Dallas Cowboy fan in history....and I owe it all to Jerry Jones. Best owner in sports......worse GM in the history of sports. Lombardi couldn't coach this group of misfits to championships. There is NOTHING positive about this team anymore. Even Dez, who is by far, our best player, has that one critical drop every game. It's only a matter of time before Lee, Carter, or Murray are hurt again. There is no hope for this year and any year in the near future. This team is dead, and so am I.

I'm 46 years old, but otherwise could have written this post word for word.

Even after looking awesome last week in every facet of the game, I knew I would be setting myself up by getting excited. And they didn't disappoint today.

Wake me when Jerry's liver gives out. Hopefully it will be before mine does.

And yet Romo had only ONE pass completed over 15 yards. For Garret and his "Air Coryell" offense, that is simply unacceptable. We need to get the ball down the freakin field. High School offenses do better than that.

I think if there's anything we can learn from that fumble at the goal line in particular, it would be this:

At some point this team is going to have to start investing quality draft picks into finding a big pass catcher who can create mismatches.................

They need to find a receiver who can stretch the field.

Teams are able to squeeze this offense far too easily.

As many here have stated, Garrett may one day succeed in this league but sadly it will not be here. When he was hired I was thrilled. Little did I know we were about to be treated to watching the internship of a very green head coach. They took away the play calling and this is still a man with no plan, no feel for football situations, and no idea how to adjust. Exhibit A today? A 56yard FG attempt. Really? And his answer is we had the wind. I mean, if that doesn't take the cake I dont know what does. Next time just give the opponent 3 points.

Looks like the only way Garrett stays is if we can somehow win this division by default.................and even that aint a gimmie after you factor in an automatic L next week for Denver.

.A 2-3 start after back to back 8-8 seasons...........................Yep, its a process of stacking your good days..................LOL

And yet Romo's numbers today win most games, and that's even with the 4 drops.

I truly feel Romo can no longer throw the deeper passes, especially with his ribs bothering him.

I think that hit on his ribs in the opener may have done more damage than the team let on. He obviously does not have the velocity and distance on his passes that he did prior to the hit.

With that being said, he still played a good enough game to win...................rest of the team, not so much.

I honestly think that Romo can no longer get the ball down field on target. The few times last year and this year that he has tried it can attest to that. 95% of all Romos pass attempts are under 20 yards. Dude's arm is dead.

Did anyone see that ball Tony Gonzalez just pulled in?

Witten dropped a much easier one that puts us in field goal range and gives us a 1st down while down 2 points.

Somehow people blamed Romo for throwing that ball.

Oh I completely agree, Romo was very efficient. But the very fact that we don't even attempt deep throws down the field hampers this offense greatly. Maybe it's the ribs, or the fact that mentally Romo doesn't want to commit turnovers, but great offenses can stretch the field vertically. We have a horizontal passing game.

Offense scored 14 points today I don't see how many games that would have one in today's NFL
If I gave you a choice of scoring 14 points, or allowing the opposing QB 400 yds on 80% completions and 3 TD, which would you take?

I saw it. Great catch. He's awesome.

Garrett has been in the league for over a decade in a coaching capacity who has yet to prove himself significantly in any coaching position. I don't know why anyone thinks things will change and he might be a great coach in the future.
