Twitter: Jay Ratliff released...Ending His 8-Year Run In Dallas

I don't want to hijack this thread about the Rat. But, don't you think that if Spencer was working out hard during the offseason that he would have known way before that he needed surgery? You know, running some sprints, doing some leg exercises, testing out his legs, etc? I hope I never hear from him again. 10 plus million for being on IR is not the same as any other player,

Done...

Those kinds of injuries are degenerative from what I've read. I think you almost have to know about it prior to it reaching a point where you need Micro Surgery. I don't buy the whole, hurt myself in camp thing. Not even any contact I don't believe. I don't know.

I certainly don't kno the details, but this is the strangest handling of a player I've ever seen.

If it is something else, then Jerry sure has a strange approach.

Tell me, ABQ, when your dog poops on the rug, do you wait 10 months to rub his nose in it?

You like comparisons, OK.....

When your child does something wrong, do you beat them immediately or do you simply wait till the time is right and then address the situation intelligently?

Do you honestly believe that comparing Rat to a Dog and Jerry to the owner of an actual person is a great comparison?

There was the problem, Cows thought Rat would be back sooner and Rat did not.

This has the the Mike Jenkins/Felix Jones situation written all over it again.

Lets be honest. Jay was never gonna play for Dallas after that confrontation in locker room with Jerry. Some said at the time but many of us didn't want to believe it.

You address the situation immediately. That is how you link the behavior to the outcome. Waiting for nearly a year does not show in any way that behaviors have consequences.

Do you honestly believe that I am comparing Rat to a dog and painting Jerry as a slave owner?

My main question is this: Why the **** did Jerry and Co SWEAR that Ratliff would be healthy this season and DEFEND their choice of not selecting a SINGLE DT in the draft with the "explanation" that JAY RATLIFF would be the "difference"???? I mean good God, 99.999% of us fans could have seen this coming except for literally Jerry himself which leads me to wonder why on earth this was not done prior to the season. LUCKILY our D-Line is showing great due to the presence of Rod Marinelli, the miracle worker himself, but damn, could you imagine how good they would've been with a legitimate replacement for Ratliff? My God, sometimes Jerry Jones really pisses me off...

In the history of conditioning tests, has this ever happened before?

Jay Ratliff won't play this year due to injuries. Ratliff's agent said he had a strained relationship with the Cowboys doctors.

No, if your a simple minded animal that is only able to understand straight forward punishment and reward concepts, then perhaps. If this is how you regard Jerry and Rat, that your business. I don't agree. There is a way to handle such things and I'm sure that the Cowboys organization understood this.
