Jerry Jones on Marvin Austin: "He's got really unquestionable talent. ... He's got the talent to really help us."
Jerry Jones on what Rod Marinelli said to Marvin Austin: "Unless you're willing to abide by these rules, you're not gonna mess my unit up."
Jerry: Marinelli told Marvin Austin: "We've got a deal going here with our rushmen and we're going to see if you can be a part of it."

Whatever the reason he was released from the Dolphins after 2 games, it wasn't for performance on the field. He put a schooling on Ben Grubbs and De La Puenta

I can imagine Marenelli to Austin:
"We will give you a chance to prove that you are good enough to become one of us. It will be my way or the highway. This is your last chance. If you are not totally committed, if you display any laziness, poor attitude or divisiveness, you will quickly join Cohen and the others i have kicked to the curb, and we will keep going like you were never here."

This DLine unit, banged up as its been, does seem to have come together with obvious leadership by Ware and Hatch. I don't think they'll tolerate having somebody NOT buy into what they're trying to do. Hopefully Hatch and Ware and the other guys can make Austin realize that he needs to buy in 100% and that it can work.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Jerry's paraphrasing and that Marinelli didn't actually use a double negative to imply his own rules mess up his DL unit.

Yes, for clarity's sake:

"[We're not going to sign you] unless you're willing to abide by these rules; you're not gonna mess my unit up."

I can see that from Hatch, but I don't see Ware as someone who will get in anyone's face.

the city of miami is not a good place for someone with questionable intangibles.

Problem is, Dallas can be the same way. I hope this works out because he could certainly solve a lot of problems for us, long term. I guess we'll see.
