And even when Romo has 30+ higher QBR when using a playaction pass. Even with a bad running game.
It's mind boggling why we don't use it more.

This is the number one reason why Im so sick of Garrett's offense. Yes it still his offense because were using his playbook and his philosophy. Using plays to get Romo out of the pocket like play action should be integrated into this offense. Not no drop back and pass through shotgun. Garrett has ruined Romo with this philosophy.

You saw ONE coach master time management...and Garrett...well, he was Garrett.

Personally, I liked Detroit's last play. I was thinking they would fake spike the ball. But then they got really close to the goal line and Stafford was just like, screw it, I'm going in....

I bet Garrett would have taken the penalty thinking it would move the other team out of FG range. In fact I'm not even sure he would have known about the clock stoppage

I'm almost certain you are correct, too.

This is the worse clock management I have ever seen in my life . We could have kneeled 3 times after stopping the lions on downs . If we would have kneeled 3 times and punt the ball the lions would have got the ball back with 20 seconds and NO timeouts . Unbelievable this was an epic fail . Any reasonable supervisor would fire an employee after a irrational decision like that .

Agree....................one of the worst choke jobs by a coach I have ever seen....................how many records are we going to set for new ways to lose the NFL has never seen before with Opie at the helm?

Each week we set a new record for futility..........number of losses when leading by double digits in the 4th.........first team to lose at home when scoring over 45 pts..........only 2nd team in NFL history to lose a game when +4 on the TO ratio.....ect.......

I could go on and on and on and on, but we all get the point. Its like Opie is trying to invent new ways to lose each and every week..................what a joke of a coach, will go down in history on par with Campo. Funny thing is even Campo didnt blow games like this, he just didnt have the talent to win.

Garrett just doesn't know how to win during crunch time. I think he panics and goes into a tailspin not knowing what to do. Garrett has lost money games for us because of many reasons, not only bad clock management. Remember him icing the kicker? How bout the miraculous come from behind win by Detroit many years ago when we were up 27 to 3? There are many other instances, too numerous to list down. His inexperience is killing this franchise.

So who's next? Who should the next coach be? I really hate to be in this position again but I'm now in total 'who's next' mode.

I totally forgot about the icing the kicker game................................dude has choked so many games away they are too many to even remember at this point......................I think I would rather have Campo or even Wade back at this point, seriously.

This is the thinking that needs to be avoided. Garrett needs to go but we've had worse head coaches and, more importantly, most head coaches aren't successful.

Good head coaches don't grow on trees. Jason Garrett is pretty clearly one of the 7 billion plus people on this planet who wouldn't make a good head coach in the NFL.

If it only comes down to players executing, why do we even need expensive coaches? If HC has no influence on outcome of the game, and it's all on the players only, why do teams pay big money for people like Belichick?

Just hire Campo.

Because our fan base isn't that bright?

I'm not going to get into the end of the game coaching, but I will talk about how a Garrett coached team is never prepared to play a full game. Early on cost us this game. The lions were begging us to kick the snot out of them by handing us the ball every chance they got. The defense held up as long as they could, the offense didn't come to play. Ony a couple of times during the season do we get off to a fast start offensively.

Wow, that resume does not look too strong for a man that might be looking for a head coaching job in about 3 months, and something tells me he is not done etching his name in these unenviable record books. Heck, not even as an offensive coordinator.
