What you just described is exactly what I said. Offense was quite ordinary in the first half, but cobbled enough offense to get it going in the 2nd half. This Band-Aid defense held on just long enough for the W, but it's pretty obvious no lead is safe with this defense.

But that doesn't matter because the eagles are a game back and the skins are 2.5 back with the Vikings/eagles up next and us with the Saints a bye and the Giants. So this team is in for a dog fight and they haven't even beat a team with a winning record yet.

You're giving the offense credit for 21 points though when 7 of those points came courtesy of the defensive TD. And if we're just going by pure points, guess what? The Vikings average 23.3 points per game so this defense held them to their average. Shoot, they had 31 last week vs. GB

That is one positive thing about the defense, but the offense does not take advantage or that! This team should be smoking games with the TO's they get.

We're a .500 team - if that gets us in - so be it - we're only going so far with this defense the way it is.

I did watch the game maybe you should watch it again. Majority of your posts are negative, that's fine but you're off base if you think the defense didn't help win this game today. When Romo threw the 4th Quarter Int, did the defense fold? No, they got Romo the ball back.

Yes, they have no excuse, cept balls dropped, penalties, IDIOTIC penalties & the 1 injury that could have given us a better O-Line today to have played a bit better.
Our defense was pretty much as beat up last season. Doesn't excuse getting WORKED as badly as we have this season.

If I had to field a team and the choice was between our defense with a better offense or our offense with a better defense, i'd gladly take our D with a better O.

The offense looks like a JV team for half of every game. At least the defense makes plays to keep things competitive and there is potential to get better with health. The offense flops around like a dead fish for half the game and has no strength to fall back on.
