Anyone who would blame this loss on Romo needs their head examined

Tony is not aikman. Idc what aikman had around him. He won this franchise multiple superbowls. I will not slap Troy in the face by putting tony in his category.

I never said he was. But I'm smart enough to realize context. The same people who say Aikman is awesome have to take into consideration who he had around him, just like those who say Romo sucks have to take into consideration who he has around him.

Come on now. The defense gave up 5 touchdowns in the 2nd half and the offense put up 36 points total.

That's all good. But the offense completely sputtered in the 2nd half, leading to all those scores. We put up 36 on em but they still found a way to win? Why shouldn't we be able find a way to win?

This has happened to this team so many times I lost track. The packers came down from 23 points! How does that happen unless the offense completely stops producing?. Romo should have had another 3 TD's, but he gets outplayed by a 3rd string QB all 2nd half.

With romo and Garrett at the helm, this offense gets comfortable and stalls out consistently.

A QB who throws two 4th quarter picks in a close game would be a huge reason for any team losing.

He was reckless tonight when he didn't need to be.

Assuming I'm using the playfinder right on pro football reference this is what I've got for Tony's 4th quarter tied or ahead by one score stats:

http://pfref.com/tiny/9eBDb
145 /221 2256 yards 19tds 8ints 10.2ypa 112.9 rating

That's one more INT then is recorded by espn actually. So I'm wondering if there some discrepancy between the ESPN numbers and PFRs play by play numbers.
That hasn't been updated yet.

the 10-6 Quincy Carter???? I don't know better than 8-8 Romo.

Again, I said with this defense and this HC.

Or are we going to compare Garrett to Bill Parcells or this historically bad defense to the one that was ranked #1 in 2003?

You really need to take your Romo jersey off and see what the rest of the world sees. Romo has a terrible habit of making poor throws at key times in big games. Not sure why you Romo lovers can't see the forrest from the trees.

has anyone noticed that every year its a new excuse? never the blame on Romo? Its becoming more and more pathetic.

Does that change the fact that he throws picks at the wrong time far too often? Nope, sure doesn't. And that's what matters. Keep trying to defend him tho.

Too often compared to who? The only person I can say probably to is Peyton Manning, who has been starting games since 1998 which would mean it is "likely" that he has been in that situation more than Romo. So yes, compared to Peyton Manning, he throws picks at the wrong time. Happy?

I know he does.

But why is he always being put in that position, even in a game when he had the team up 26-3 at halftime?

He put up 36 points today on a team playing Matt Flynn at QB. In any rational universe that is an easy win, yet somehow it came down to him throwing INTs at the end. Why?

Blah.....check the rings dude and who Brady has to throw too.....no comparison. Brady has this group and he lights up G.B for 400 4td's and 0int's.

Don't need to look at his rings. He didn't WIN them on his OWN, nor has he LOST them on his OWN. Even the "Elite" QBs fail in the 4th quarter, though Brady didn't have the lay down the entire 2nd half of the game Defense like Romo had to try to cover up for today.

You seriously comparing these two? How embarrasing, Brady has his crappy team first in the division and poised to win 10-11 games AGAIN. Romo still throwing picks late in games in December.

Hey Percy, by any chance do you have the data available to see Romo's int % in the 4th QTR/OT when his team is tied or leading by 1 possession? I'm curious as to how much ESPN is trying to miss lead people, because I'd be willing to beat the stat is majorly skewed haha.
I"m assuming they left out the fact that Romo also has 7 more TD than any other QB in that situation, and that he has the highest pass rating in that situation of any QB with more than 200 attempts.

Drama trumps truth.

See here's a poster trying to put tony in aikman's category. Did Jerry pick the old core of romo witten ware miles? He just needs to do a little better this time. I have hope.

How am I putting Romo in Aikman's category?

Amazing what a HoF coach can do.
