I've asked this question for four months now. Since obviously you disagree, tell me why he is a good one. I keep hearing where our DL was horrible, and that we had 46 different defensive linemen. So answer a couple of questions for me please. If he did such a good job coaching the DL, why were they horrible? If they were all new players, fresh off the street, how and when did he have a chance to coach them? Statistically we couldn't have been any worse, so what did he do to make it better? Will someone please enlighten me?
Yeah. You think he could make YOU an NFL player?
The guy had to deal with potato chip eating, soap opera watching guys off the couch week after week.
Who's going to make that successful?
He churned like no one else trying to find some talent, any talent to soldier for him.
He did the best he could with the tools he had.
He made a guy called Selvie into an NFL player.
This cat was a nobody before then.
He had guys thinking about applying to Albertson's doing the best they could for him.
The Cowboys were lucky teams weren't running for 250/game on them.
His Star DL man was injured all season and the rest of the guys were either gone or missing games or playing hurt or had ZERO talent and he still had them going full speed.
There might not have been the talent he might have wanted, but he never let them quit.
Now what the hell do you want a coach to do in that situation?
