Starz - Black Sails a ratings hit

Yeah I'm caught up on it now. It's actually a very well done show. Enjoying it so far.

The whole Vane/Max/Eleanor triangle is pretty interesting.
 
6 Episodes in. I really really like it now.
Show keeps getting more interesting.

I LOVE Jack/Anne
 
Watched the past four episodes (III, IV, V, VI) back to back to back to back yesterday and really am enjoying this series! Pretty well done.

I'll bet Billy didn't really drown.

Well this show is Technically a prequel to Treasure Island. Think it takes place like 20 years earlier.
 
Well.. excellent ending to that.

This show is up there on my must watch, just under Game of Thrones.

Really impressed with what Starz has done.

B/c I don't feel like Googling it, is the season over?
 
It was short. 8 episodes due to budget reasons. They weren't sure how popular it would be and wanted to go for Quality over quantity. It paid off as Season 2 has been greenlit and will have an increased budget going into a 10 episode format. So next season will have 2 more episodes.
 
The whole Silver and Randall relationship the last couple of episodes had me rolling.
 
I like Silver in general. Really like how he and flint are "in it together" now, more or less.

Was wondering how the show would build upon Treasure Island.
 
Wow, this new season of Black Sails is really getting intense. Capt. Flint is about to "rain holy hell" down on Capt Vane! :eek:
 
The ending of this last episode was really powerful, and with just one word: "Fire."
 
Well. Catching up on the last two episodes...hmm. Quite a left turn that was with the good Captain (Flint)...wowzers.
 
Wow. This show has gotten off the charts great. May be the best thing on the tube...it's certainly in the discussion.

Completely agree. The Flint Revelation in episode 5 elevated the shows status for me.
It brings everything together, explains a lot, and you can tell it's obviously something the show runners have known about since day 1. To have a secret like that, and to keep it for1 and a half seasons is some really patient story telling. A sign of good writing.

Show is just fantastic, season 3 is already green lit. I was really worried about season 2 because the main gripe about season 1 was lack of action (from the Spartacus crowd, mainly) . I was worried they were going to go a lot heaver on action, and take away from the plot/character development.
 
Too bad it's not on a better channel where I can watch it. Hopefully Netflix puts the show on there because I'm not paying for Starz to watch any TV show.
