RIGHT now? 4 or 5 wins, but I mean c'mon we haven't had the draft or the June 1st cuts. Even after that I don't project more than 7 wins tops. This is going to sting the next couple years, but now that Ayers is also gone it appears to me that JJ is actually going young and rebuilding once and for all. That would scare me to death if not for the fact our last couple drafts have been much better. I've wanted to tear it all down and rebuild since Campo was the coach. Necessary Evil at this point IMO.

A defense that was the worst in team history has lost all four of its projected defensive line starters from the beginning of last season. It may set the league record for points allowed, it's THAT bad. Only if the team trades the #16 pick down multiple times to obtain multiple picks in the first 4 rounds of the upcoming draft will they be able to fill most of the holes that have been created through free agency losses & bad decisions. I'm talking about taking 2 DTs, 2 DEs, an OG, an OT, & a FS with the first 7 picks in the first 4 rounds. Even then, these are rookies we're talking about, & they will take time to develop. Better to do it now, though, while the team is down. Here's hoping they have a top 5 pick in 2015, so they can get their franchise QB. He won't do them any good, though, unless they develop a strong defense & running game beginning this year, to support him.

They will maybe be 8-8 with a good draft. The NFC East won't scare anyone.

I don't think Dallas has gotten any worse this offseason. Getting rid of Austin and ware were both good moves as well as the Melton signing. Now just need to hit a home run in the draft. Regardless, Dallas won't be a legit contender in '14. Romo and JG will both be gone by the time Dallas turns this thing around.

i dont buy into the usual excuses about it taking several years to build the defense
jerry says we are not rebuilding
this is the 4th year of the garrett process, that should be more than enough time for a HC

roster turnover has been huge in the last 3 years so most players now on the roster should be who garrett wanted to be here

therefore, anything short of 10-6 or 11-5 and 1-2 playoff victories would be a huge disappointment and should be for any fans of the cowboys

I would say 8 - 8, but thus far the team as it stands right now looks worse than it did this time last year, so I'm going to say 6 and 10.

Dude, you are OVER REACTING to a signing of a WR that does 1 single route. He has and will be been owned by the Cowboys. You're entire thread is based on your fear of the DeShean Jackson Signing. I'm amazed you have gone scared like this. Just in case you forgot the FA signing period is not over. The draft has not started yet. Any late signings or college FA signings have not been made. Training camp has not started. Injuries have not been announced. This bs is about the Jackson deal. I will submit a prediction much closer to the season. Dallas will win the East.

I will be the optimist and say 10-6 .

We will have an improved O-Line and running game.

We didn't take a step backwards on offense, and our defense won't get any worse than last year. Infact we will be improved on defense after the draft.

Considering we gave away 4 games almost last year, I don't see why we can't beat any of the teams outside of Seattle/San Fran .

How did we draw such a hard schedule anyhow? We played the Seahawks the yr before last and now have to play them again jeesh.
At best im thinking 8-8
Realistically though maybe 1 or 2 wins less then that.

Year 4 under the boy wonder and virtually nobody on this board even has us posting a winning record............................says a lot.

theyre just setting up for "i never expected this team to be that good this year" and "it will take 3 years to build this defense" excuses in the next off-season

sad that cowboy fans have to lower their expectations to the point of already preparing for the excuses for yet another failed season before the season has even begun

even in year 4 they cant go on the record as expecting 11-5 and playoff wins
