Danieal Manning? **Signing with Bengals**

All I want is Manning and Robert Ayers... please Jerry!!!

Offer him vet's min ... plus Dexter Coakley.

He's sure to play for us then ..

I didnt know Chris Clemons had finally signed...anyone else disappointed we didnt look closer? He signed for 2 years, 2.7 million 450K guaranteed. SMH

He's from Corsicana and went to Abilene Christian.
32 yo, 5' 11", 212 #
Rt tibial frx on 10-13-13; should be recovered.
Took over Devin Hester's kick return duties in '08 with the Bears.
Was fined $15,000 for punching Packers' OT Marshall Newhouse in 2012.

Not a great value at that age with his skills when asking more than 2 mil (he wanted 4 mil at Houston).

Backload his contract with incentives. There is no one currently on the roster who comes closing to challenging him, 32 years old or not. Let the newbies EARN and LEARN behind Manning. Manning is also a heckuva returner as well.

We like where we are at safety. Remember this the first week in May as well.

I like the fact that the Cowboys are leaving spots open to develop young players instead of trying to fill everything with stopgap veterans.

They have 11 draft picks and several young players returning from injury. They need to be able to keep as many developmental players as possible this year.

Don't see why we wouldn't be in on this. He's the kind of safety with great speed and athleticism that we need next to Church.

You want him standing in the way of Matt Johnson? Do you? Think long and hard about the consequences before you answer.

Nothing can stand in the way of Matt Johnson. Not even Matt Johnson can stand in his way. Literally.

We tried that last year and it was a disaster.

backload the contract of a 32 year old?

bwahahahahahahahaha.....

We could have afforded him or Clemons. I guess we really do like our safeties

or we didn't like him for our fit, his age, or our direction.

just because the board has to bring in every semi-known name and scream GET 'ER DONE, JERRY! doesn't mean they will. the disappointment many feel is cause they're not actually watching what the FO is doing but just wanting *something* to talk about.

Patriots re-signed Patrick Chung. So are they either "doing what they want in free agency" or do not believe in progress stoppers?
