JJ thinks Johnny is the best player in the draft

LOL. I'll be rolling on the floor with laughter if Manziel slips and we take him.

In all seriousness, if JJ takes Manziel that tells me something is awry with Romo. You don't waste a first round pick on a QB if you plan on him riding the pine for 2-3 years.

Plus Lacewell said he loves him... And he flatly said that Jerry "has a mancrush" on Manziel.

Also, I've heard Jackie Sherrill say he loved him, and Jackie has indirect ties to JJ through Jimmy and others.

BTW, am I the only one who when he saw "JJ" first thought "Jimmy Johnson"?

Lol I call him jj but I guess I should have used jerry.

I don't get why this suprises anyone either. Anyone who has watched this team and jj the past 25 years should know this would be a jj type pick. The only difference this time I would like this typical jj type pick. Between lacewell comments, jj comments, sj comments, johnny being a guess of jj on multiple occasions and jj being jj this shouldn't be a suprise

No wonder I never heard of her. I don't watch those idiots.
Is she hot? I may take a look. :D

I have believed all along that if Johnny is sitting there at 16, Jerry Takes him. He is what Jerry calls a "wow" player.

Not what I want but I would expect it if he is available at 16.

That's why any of the fanspeak mocks I do (and I do plenty when bored) and he is available at 16...I take him and see who the rest of the draft might fall. Again, not because I want him taken, but because I believe he will be taken if he is there at 16.

The only way Jerry would pass up Johnny at 16 is if someone gave him a trade offer that was just too good to be true in his mind.

I've been saying this for a while. If he's there at 16 he will be a cowboy unless someone offers a trade down that can't be passed up. Even then it would be people in the room telling him he can't pass on the trade. That or lock him up in another room so he can't make the call

I will make a bet that Johnny does not get drafted by the Cowboys which will prove that all Johnny to the Cowboys talk prior to the draft was a complete waste of time.

How's $10K sound?

Lol. Ill take a bet that if johnny is on the board at 16 we won't draft another player. He will be a cowboy or we will have a trade that we can't pass up. Not 10k though. Lol

Jerral Wayne is always telling us what he likes about the Draft, he is transparent every season. Most people know and are used to his pre-draft ramblings which reveal our direction or misdirection each season.

Jones wants Manziel, he's not hiding that fact, if Johnny slides out of the top 10, Jerral Wayne will make a Trade up for him.

Make it a signature bet.

My bet is that Johnny will not be drafted by the Cowboys with no qualifiers on the bet.

Lol well I tend to agree with you. I don't think he will because I don't think he reaches 16.

This would be me if we drafted him.

JJ isn't the only one with ties to the Cowboys that Likes him:

Gil Brandt:

"1. Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&MPrevious rank: 1
Manziel (5-foot-11 3/4, 205 pounds) is a unique athlete who produced 10,000 yards of offense in two seasons with the Aggies. I had his 40 timed at 4.56 seconds at the combine. He's a very smart player and has great vision at quarterback."

Roger Staubach:

NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach said he would take Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel over South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney with the No. 1 pick.

That 40 time got my attention (that's fast!) and I looked up the official time: 4.68. So Brandt's time appears way off and useless.

The real question is how far is Jerry Jones willing to trade up for Manziel. Would he trade up to the Rams at 2? Atlanta at 6?

I don't think he is willing to trade up at all for Manziel. But I do think he takes him if he drops to 16. I'm ok with that. Anybody who thinks we are set at QB has not been paying attention. I understand the concerns over whether or not Johnny is a bust though. I think you roll the dice and find out, though.

JJ is saying he wants JF...it is a ruse, because he knows how Dan Snyder wants to emulate him, and his love for ex cowboys players as well.
So he is bating Snyder into trading up, giving all his draft picks this year and next year for JF. Yes, he doesn't need to trade up very far, but it's Snyder. Even though they don't need him. As they have RG3 & Cousins.
But it's Snyder. Therefore, JJ takes out the Commanders even before the season starts, as well as next season.....:)

This just seems like a Jerry ploy to make sure Manziel pushes a player down to the Cowboys.
