***Official Draft Thread Day TWO***

Terrance Brooks is out there too.

Did anyone take Breeland?

I am fine with this trade. 8 sacks in 2014. Like someone said earlier - we have Bass and Crawford coming back. 4th and 5th rounders will be more DL

I think Keenum is still in the running for starter, especially if they can't trade for one. He got thrown to the wolves and I would like to see what he can do with a full camp and confidence.

still a lot of good players available in the third. It hurts not having a pick.

Our d line is looking serviceable too... Lawrence/Spencer/Selvie as DEs. Melton at DT1, if we can add another DT hmm...

If they're so good, why are they still available?

(Ducks)

You pick Jernigan, att, Ealy, NIx, etc then you have a 3rd to now trade up for crichton or Brooks, etc. Costs a ton less

I think it's silly to speculate that what would have been available when Dallas picked will be more worthwhile than the player the Cowboys got. There's possibly a good reason Dallas and Atlanta were vying to trade up for Lawrence and it didn't start a run on other DL.

Maybe scouts see that much of a difference in Lawrence and the ones you mentioned. Now, obviously some players outplay where they get taken, but obviously something was seen in players like Ealy that did not make teams covet them at the top of the second like Lawrence was.

Going to take more than one DT to make our line serviceable. We better hope McClain and Crawford can play and draft another DT.

Boy-I don't think the Cowboys are in position to give away third rounders and I am one who thinks Lawrence WOULD have been gone by the time they picked. Rather have Crichton or Ealy and Brooks right about now.

I think Nix is a good value to trade up for at this point, but maybe there's too much concern about his knee.

Like who?

Let's see - Donte Moncrief (fits the size/speed profile for a Cowboy WR), Trai Turner (good athleticism at OG), Scott Crichton (workmanlike player at LDE), Kareem Martin (very good upside at DE), Tre Mason (explosiveness at RB), Adrian Hubbard (another DE projection), even Louis Nix, though he isn't a scheme fit in Dallas.

it moves like this that deserve tons of scrutiny....It may be completely warranted, but if you get 2 starters on a dline/safety/or Mason/Garrapolo, etc. I hope it works, but trade ups haven't worked great for Dallas

With the 1T, they're usually space eater types and Crawford or McClain or a rotation should be able to handle that right? Maybe we get one later in the draft. It sucks not having a third right now though, I'm not going to complain about the value or whatever because its different for every team every year and they wanted this guy and I doubt he would have been around for much longer. We got two good starters, more than we can say for the first two rounds last year.

How expensive do you think it would be to get in the third or fourth? Shouldn't be too much and good players will be there. Will Sutton would be perfect.
