NFLPA monitoring Lee injury

I don't know if this is news worthy to deserve it's own thread. I know there are a lot of other Sean Lee threads. I just don't know if it's been pointed out in other threads.

Basically the NFLPA is monitoring the video of the Lee injury to see if the Cowboys are operating under safe conditions. The practice is supposed to be non-contact so no "one-on-one offense vs defense drills are permitted." To be honest, I don't know exactly what all this non-contact practice means. How do you have practice without running drills? A lot of people get hurt during these practices so it's confusing. Anyway, here is the text:

IRVING, Texas -- NFL Players Association officials haven't requested a copy of the practice tape from Tuesday's organized team activities involving the Dallas Cowboys, however they are monitoring the injury suffered by middle linebacker Sean Lee from their Washington D.C. offices like they do with all injuries that occur.

Jerry allowing contact during OTAs is unacceptable. I think the owners should meet and strip the team away from him.

They should put two pink flags on them and then if the D can't pull those flags off, they just have to tap on the toushy so the offensive guy will be down at that spot.

THE GOOD NEWS, THE NFL DRAFT IS JUST 11 MONTHS'S AWAY......

The contact had nothing to do with the injury, Lee locked and collapsed his knee as soon as he planted to change direction and was going down when Martin touched him, Martin isn't at fault for the injury........you'd think the NFLPA would have more important things on their plate, but apparently not....

Would not be surprised at all if we get penalized by the NFL for that. The NFLPA was very adament about OTA's being no contact and not full speed, very limited competition periods, etc. We cleary were running a full speed team period and Martin buried Lee into the ground, it's clear as day on tape.

When you don't follow the guidelines at hand and someone tears their ACL that's when you'll get penalized. I'd expect a penalty at this point. They're not gonna say "geez, we feel bad you already lost Lee, that's punishment enough". I could see them taking a draft pick away.

It's funny how, like you say, they were adamant about no contact and not going at full speed yet we're hearing stuff like, "Lawrence is looking great getting around the edge." How would you even be able to make an assessment like that if the guys are just jogging out there?

By Looking at technique and it is not jogging but it is also not full contact. No pad just shorts and helmets. Heck we did that in high school. Guys are not out tackling they pull up but they are running the plays

Dallas isn't doing anything that the other 31 teams are not doing.
Lee's knee was damaged before Martin even touched him.
