Black Widow movie

LOL! Black Widow's getting butt-kicked all up in this thread. Irony at its best.

The movie should do well with the right director and screenplay (I didn't click on the article link). I'm interested in how many other characters will be tied into it. I guess it would be a lot to ask for a DareDevil or Elektra cameo..? But keep Ben Affleck as far away from my improbable wish as possible.

This does aggravate me though. Marvel backs a Black Widow film, but DC doesn't do the same for Wonder Woman. Talk about spineless.

Accent. You guys are something else. :p

It's a ways off yet but there is a planned WW film

Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress who was recently cast as Wonder Woman, has signed a three-picture deal with Warner Bros., Variety has confirmed.

We’re told Gadot will play the role in not only the upcoming Batman-Superman pic, but in a Justice League movie and a Wonder Woman standalone film.

I just think its a waste of money and time to do a BW stand alone film when they should be focusing on Black Panther, Luke Cage, Dr. Strange, etc.

Last I read, Marvel had slated Doctor Strange to be part of phase three. Luke Cage is going to be done on a NetFlix series (as are Iron Fist and DareDevil).

Good news! I hope the netflix series are done well. Crossing fingers.

So is James Bond (trained spy). He has his accent. Guess if he went to America (to work), he'd have an Amercan accent too. Oh well, it is what it is.

Many actors playing roles in USA television shows...are from england and austrailia and they play roles in these USA television shows with no accents from their home country. Most people never know they are not american until they see them in an interview.

So it is not really that far fetched.

Deadpool!

Deadpool has just as many challenges. He's an R rated character in a PG-13 rated market. Fanboys wouldn't be happy with the PG-13 portrayal and Movie Execs wouldn't be happy with the profits on a R rated superhero movie.

Wouldn't be that excited for a Black Widow film. It's an interesting story, but does it fit in the Avengers universe?

They won't do it, but I would hope they'd shut the door on all of this once Avengers 3 is done.

If they were going to go with a movie dedicated to a character...instead of BW I would rather see Henry/Hank Pym or Vision. Not talking about them just being in the avengers. Talking about stand alone movies.

Would rather see those than a BW movie.

I see they have one in the works, with Ryan Reynolds reprising Deadpool *cringe*.

Thought there was word of that after the first Wolverine movie but never heard anything since that time.

I'm not knowledgeable about the character really, but pretty much everything I've heard from those who are, indicated that Reynolds is pretty much perfect for Deadpool.

Except for that whole horrible acting thing.

If they get enough characters around her (Coulson, Hawkeye, Fury) and get a decent villain it could work. But they do seem to be getting thin with these phase 3 & 4 characters.

That's a good point. I am a huge Xena fan. Even though I knew better, I kept thinking she must have migrated to New Zealand from the U.S. at some point in her life. For a long time, I could have sworn she was American. Then I heard her speak during a celebrity interview. Her New Zealand accent was unmistakable. And thick!

I wouldn't be able to pull off a foreign accent successfully to save my life even, lol.
