I really want Argentina to win, but I find it hard to believe that they have a shot. It will prob take a lucky break at the end or PKs for them to win. I'd imagine it will be a lot like USA/Germany. Argentina is very solid defensively, and will probably do a good job, but in the end it will probably be 1-0 to Germany

How in the world can you actually increase scoring?

I think it's a completely terrible idea to change the game, but what is your solution to the "problem"?

Less interference on a player that is approaching the goalie. It's much better than a goalie "sitting duck" 5 minutes of penalty shots to decide a 2 hour plus game.

Germany crushes Portugal 4-0
Germany obliterates Brazil 7-1

I see victory over Argentina.

No tackling.
No hard leg hacks. Etc...

Well a hard leg hack will win you a penalty or free kick, but no tackling?

There was quite an exciting tackle today by Mascherano; and it's part of the art of defending. You're kind of going the way the NFL is, where you can hardly tackle anybody. The art of tackling has been lost in football (American). Plus, there is also standing tackles... You have to defend somehow.

I agree there. That was sweet!

Should open it up. If a player makes a run to the goalie. Make it just about the goalie and the scorer.

I think a better solution would be eliminating "offsides". But I also think that the game is just fine the way it is. No need to change it.

Oh, and I almost forgot..........Go Argentina!!!

the US doesnt have Messi.
I agree with the rest tho.
Germany is the better overall side but Messi is pure magic at times and that negates talent and depth.

should be a good game.

what made Masch's tackle so sweet was if he missed the ball there that is a PK for robben and the game.

no change needed at all.
they could open the game in various ways as is done in youth leagues but that simply makes games less interesting, not more.

my 4 year old niece scored 21 goals in one co-ed u5 game.
it was just sad for other team and we didnt have any subs to take her off.
she's 4 ... so coach tried to talk her down but what can you do.
they won 23-1 and the 1 was an own goal by her teammate lol.

That was a sweet tackle but also a sweet move by Robben. Not a huge fan of the guy but man is he fun to watch. Like Messi you kind of hold your breath every time he touches the ball.

...which is exactly why it is the perfect time for some Messi magic! So he can take his rightful place with Maradona.

I hope Argentina wins so Brazil will lament for years, but Germany should be heavily favored.

I don't know about the heavily favored. Argentina has played very well on defense. They are well organized. Germany should be favored, but not heavily.
