For some reason this thread reminds me of the knee-jerk negative reactions to the Rolando McClain trade. And then the details of the trade became known. The nabobs of negativism retreated only to come out again when they heard idiotic rumors of McClain not wanting to practice/play. They then went back into hiding. Only to come back out and rant and rave at a trade about players and details they know nothing about.

None of us know if this trade is good or not. Time will tell. However, it seems like a fair trade for both sides. And it would be really nice to know who initiated the offer, the Cowboys or the Patriots. And it would be nice to know if Bass was the first choice of the Pats and Green for the Cowboys.

Neither Green or Bass are locks to make the roster. Who knows, maybe Bass gets cut and comes back to the Cowboys in Sept.

Broaddus said it was the Patriots that approached the Cowboys with the offer.

AFAIK, the trade was just the player swap only.

Yep someone please add more because those were weak sauce comments for all of the self serving back slaps going on. Please tell me there are better comments out there to guffaw over... Anyone.?!?!

If there were a real search function around here, it could have been much sharper.

I do believe this also signals some movement on Brent. Maybe he isn't going to be suspended and needed to make room on the DL for him and CB was a need with the injuries and Oscan suspension

Sorry, it would BP. Trust me.

That way we could see all the glory that was Ben Bass on this board.
.

He might have been hyped a tad by a few optimistic fans but never as much as you or others make it out to be. The great threads you posted pretty much prove it.

Looks like the Pats aren't done trading. The New England Patriots will trade a late-round selection to the Green Bay Packers in return for defensive lineman Jerel Worthy, per a report from Ian Rapoport. I wonder if the Packer fans are crying as much over Worthy as Cowboy fans are over Bass:)

From what I've heard, Worthy was a waste of space in Green Bay. I think the Pats are just desperate for bodies.

This tells me the team was high on the young guys, so they made a move to get a player for a player that was more than likely gonna be cut.
