I think a lot of his think many of his complaints just aren't valid.

In reality, most are.

And I can't speak for everybody, but this drama over leaving/not leaving....it's hard to get worked up about. Just pick a course and go already. We don't really need to know reasons why anybody gives up their fandom. We're not here to talk a jumper off the ledge. If he wants to jump, do a flip on the way down. It was nice sharing a fandom with you for a while.

Agreed

Whoever was asking for names just look at the last page. I'm at nearly 150 posts at patsfans.com...just giving moral support to the OP to balance the snarky remarks

This is utter (literally) foolishness, but what the hell. :)

Again, this was your statement:
Back to Zordon's excerpt - we enable Jerry to ruin this team and laugh to the bank...a few of you seem to insist we thank Jerry for that.

You refer to "the last page". Here is EVERY poster, who has made one or more comments on this thread, besides its creator and yourself:

It is up to you now, my friend. First, look at the last page, your words by the way, or ANYWHERE within this thread. Please list the name or names of the posters whom you claim "seem to insist we thank Jerry for that." Personally, I have zero doubt that you wholeheartedly believe what you believe. I simply ask that you share definitively with everyone else your interpretation of what you believe.

EDIT: patsfan.com, huh? :D

That said, I don't really expect the Cowboys to have the same level of success they once had ever again in my lifetime. I'm not going to jump ship, but I'm not going to pretend they're Super Bowl contenders this year.

I got to this same point mid-season 2012. I had to in order to control my emotions.

Since 1965 I would live and die with each win and loss. But now that we have dipped so far, I just couldn't take it any longer.

I am still thrilled when we win and disappointed when we lose, .. but I do not live and die week to week like I was. It was killing me.

This group of people running the Cowboys now has not earned our undying devotion. They are not in it for us.

This approach is working for me.

That's when it came for me, too. I remember exactly....it was right after that Monday night game against the Bears.

I didn't say everybody in the last page...listing Zordon, LOL. You have a brain and can figure what they said. Quite a few people have vented about Jerry....followed the Cowboys for decades. Then some get snarky if they suggest they might stop attending games, buying jerseys and anything else that makes money for Jerry. If this was counseling, it would be like telling a battered wife you must go back and continue go get beat up. If the same "logic" was applied to politics, the party out of power would be treated as traitors for hating on whoever the sitting President is.

Sometimes the best love is to walk away.

So, once again, no names. Just another empty, baseless accusation. Typical.

The Rant Zone Lives! God bless Cowboyszone for providing it. lol.

I remember that game thread. Some dude went completely off the deep end and began posting gay porn. Weirdest 30 minutes ever

...or maybe I don't have the time to list a few names and have a fight.

More and more members are venting about Jerry, so they are all crazy?

How good are some of you at math? Jerry has made a fortune because the Cowboys have a large fan base and sponsors that capitalize on that. Again (in a Mr. Rogers mode) the money of fans and sponsors made Jerry's fortune. Yet, some of you say if they stop supporting the Cowboys with their wallets, it won't hurt Jerry. So lets hear a math genius explain how fans/sponsors can give Jerry $3.2 billion (or some other huge amount of money) - make him a fortune, but if they stop paying - losing the same amount of money will not hurt him in the least. Don't be shy!

Now if some of you mention some of the fans will support the Cowboys no matter how much Jerry ruins the team, then you just identified part of the fans base as part of the problem for enabling Jerry.

I don't buy the "logic": Jerry bought the Cowboys, made a fortune with it, and resistance is futile.

A reply! Finally! Maybe now it'll be more than the usual rhetoric! :)

Huge cowboy fan since early mid 70s. Staubach was my hero. Dallas was a quality organization until mid 90s when jerruh took complete control.

Reasons for considering leaving:

Jerruh has no idea what he is doing. Latest examples. Trading up for Claiborne, a press corner, then switching to more zone. Strength of the team was lbs and they switch to 4-3. Giving romo a huge contract instead of rebuilding. Giving Injury prone Lee a big contract. Giving injury prone spencer a big contract. Salary cap penalties. Watch ware explode in Denver.

Poor drafting and poor free agency

Poor cap management

Puppets as coaches. Garrett had zero head coaching experience prior to this.

Jerruhs kid shows no signs of being any better than his dad

One that should deeply concern jerruh is the fact Dallas is slipping in television ratings and merchandizing
I don't live in Texas and I don't get near the number of games on television I used too.

Current generations of fans cannot even remember when Dallas was anything above mediocre

Jerruhs fleecing of fans and taxpayers for his stadium

Jerruh handling of the Super Bowl

Jerruh is just plain arrogant and obnoxious

You guys are part of the problem. Keep buying the overpriced beer and tickets Jones has no reason to change. Keep supporting the status quo and contInue to feed jerruh and his massive ego. Enjoy the 4-14 season. My cowboys run starting in 1974 is over.

It wasn't missed that not one of you had a substantive argument for anything I wrote.

You do know the league shares revenues right?

Most of your claims are incorrect and make you look rather uneducated about things regarding the Dallas Cowboys. Go be an Eagles fan please.

I also be Jerry was amazing when he pulled in those 3 Super Bowl titles.

Do you guys not understand his frustration? We're approaching 20 years of this nonsense.

I understand it.

If you combine all the hate I've ever had for any opposing player in my lifetime, in any sport, and times it by 2, you wouldn't come up with half the hate I have for the owner of this team.

This is a man who has destroyed this franchise to appease his own ego and he'll tell you on a daily basis it's never changing and hey, I have my fat son waiting in the wings to continue this nonsense when I'm gone.

All you can do as a fan of the team, bleep the front office, is wait and hope.

And if I told you what I hope for I'd be making my last post on this fine, child friendly fan site.

I remember that. It really did seem like that guy just lost his mind.

I think @justbob was modding. He'd delete something and someone would reply and the pic would show...I thought he was gonna ban everyone wo was logged in.

Poor guy went from moddong a defcon1 to defcon 6 in 3 minutes.

It was apparent there was no mod training for nuclear meltdowns.. ( sorry Bob)

You are a complainer. You are not a problem-solver. You could employ real tangible efforts to affect change. You could picket the stadium. You could engage in letter/fax/email writing campaigns to television stations, newspapers, etc. You could spearhead a bona fide grassroots crusade aimed at marshaling the mutual will of determined fans. You could perform a sit-in or walk across your county, state or county as a beacon of direction, purpose, and change. You could even seek out Jerry Jones and confront him face-to-face to voice your dissatisfaction.

No. You see issues outside your immediate influence and lazily place blame upon others. You are the transparent radical, hiding behind a façade of ineffective or make-believe billboard ideas. Or boast how you combat Jones's tyrannical hold on this franchise with non-confirmable claims of personal spending habits and non-supporting actions, while continually connecting yourself through television, internet, etc., with the very object of your dissatisfaction.

You are far from being the first individual to whine from a position of self-superiority. It is highly unlikely you will be the last. Time for the next complainer to step up to the mike, voice their complaint, point their finger at everyone other than themselves, then retreat to the comforts of home--and resume sitting comfortably atop their own solitary gluteus maximus. As always.

Wow

This will make a great cross-post to illustrate fans that don't mind Jerry delivering cowchips while charging like its a dynasty.
