Prove your stance out beyond tossing a stereotype and label...

Sexual assault is a criminal offense, racial slurs aren't. No stereotype or label were thrown out. Do you even know what your talking about? His stance is proven.

How do you figure that?

Comment #1 makes a statement about strippers. Oh, and by the way, anybody with even a lil knowledge about them knows this is a fair statement. He was actually being kind.

Comment #2 says he will withhold judgment. Based on comment #1 its reasonable to not jump on the bash Jerry bandwagon unless there is something other than the word of a money grabbing hoe trying to extort money. Why would anyone just assume Jerry assaulted anyone in this situation when everything about it would seem to indicate anything but assault?

No contradiction whatsoever in the 2 statements/comments. Even those who struggle with reading comprehension really would have to stretch things to see a contradiction.
You're aren't serious are you ?

You can't make judgements using stereotypes on someone based on their line work and then say you hold off all stereotypes and accusations and no one consider that at least a contradiction if not down right hypocritical.

What? I have no stance of whether Jerry is guilty or innocent. I don't have the information to reach a judgement on his case. If he is found guilty, I consider sexual assault a pretty significant offense. And only if he is found guilty can the question be asked about him possibly losing his team. I posed the question that if Jerry was found guilty would that be enough to lose his team compared to the many offenses of Sterling. That was a response to someone saying Jerry should suffer the same fate. I don't know if the situations are the same even though a sexual assault is a significant offense. I didn't toss out a single stereotype or lable. I don't know what you read to come to that conclusion.

Comment #1 was a stereotype. Comment #2 said don't stereotype. That is a contradiction plain and simple. It doesn't matter if I like or don't like strippers, the first statement made a stereotype about strippers. It doesn't matter if Jerry is guilty or innocent, since I have not jumped to any conclusions about his guilt or innocence.

I agree with your statement above...and I think sexual assault and included, physical assault of a combative manner, are something that needs attention. So, I fully support what you just did provide.

Oh, the guilt or innocence has everything to do with an element of justice, which is the defined pursuit. That is, even if that isn't being identified.

I gave up hall monitors, well before getting my college degree.

Does A&I count as a college degree? I kid, I kid. I thought about going there, but I can't stand the 100 degree year round weather. Plus it was much further away than I wanted to live.

(strongly chuckling) Joseephuss, I've learned more about you today, than in years posting with you on site. Thanks for the share.

You would have enjoyed things back then. And both Corpus Christi and Mexico were a lot of fun and nowhere as dangerous as these days.

The center for gangs went from San Antonio, to El Paso...to now, the #1 juvenile delinquency area is located in Corpus.

My brother was in their, A&I, first Doctoral program started there. It was in Bilingual Education.

Adjustment to high levels of heat, isn't easy for many folks. It seems that person can take either extremes of cold, or extremes of heat. But mixing one for the other, at least to my references, takes some time.

Thanks for sharing, and yea, even a Javelina receives a sheep skin.

Of course Im serious. I can make any judgment I want to based on the situation. Im not needing to prove anything beyond reasonable doubt here in having an opinion on the scenario. I dont care about any PC nonsense. If the girl is/was a stripper it tells me a lot about her. Its not rocket surgery to recognize it.

Maybe CC can clarify this if I misinterpreted his post, but I took statement #2 as withholding judgment or casting blame on Jerry for the assault. That would be consistent with statement #1 which gives a really really good reason why its prudent to withhold said judgment.

And there is nothing contradictory or hypocritical about any of it. Its called not being naive.

Not if you pay attention to context its not a contradiction. Comment #2 if applied to not accusing Jerry makes perfect sense. But reading comprehension is required to see it.

My parents are from Kingsville and I have been many a time to visit relatives. I was there earlier this year in fact and on the beach in Corpus just a couple of weeks ago. It definitely takes time to acclimate to the heat and humidity of Kingsville. Was better at it as a kid than I am now. At least on the beach in Corpus I can get in the water to cool down. Many hoggies in my family.

I graduated H.M. King High and then Texas A&I, with a year at the USAFA.

Thank you for the share...and you have an open invitation for a meal at a local restaurant. I really like King's Inn down in Riviera.

Clinton forgotten and forgiven
Kobe forgotten and forgiven.

Thus goes by bye bye with time.

Ben R forgotten? Nope. I still read he's a rapist that got away with it.

Jerry will not live down his dirty old drunk man reputation. And his came with pictures.

There are some reports surfacing now which I can't link to, but that suggest the accuser in this case was perhaps not just a stripper and might have been working as an escort about the time this was occurring. That's not to say that an escort can't be sexually assaulted, obviously. But it does blur an already blurry line further.
